This show has taken nose dives straight into CRAZY TOWN more than a few times over the years, and still I watched...defending its 'camp' and holding out long enough for me to fall in love with it again. It takes fortitude to be a fan of this show for seven years.

As someone who easily cries at...well pretty much everything, True Blood's Series Finale last night left me numb- with utter BOREDOM. Not so much as a lump in my throat from that snoozefest. They opted to go out on a poignant note, when they should have gone out with both guns blazing and twisty as hell.

ANYTHING would have been better than what we were given.

So my predictions were way off. The stuff with the yakuza came to a very easy resolution. So easy it's a wonder Eric and Pam didn't just do that much earlier. They had no difficulty at all.

Throwing Hoyt and Jess back together and Jason with this other girl we only met this season seemed a bit 'last minute' on the fly kind of writing.

Was surprised they went ahead and killed Bill. I thought they'd write a way out of that one. Although I don't get the reasoning for Sookie using a stake rather than her fairy powers. Surely the former would be more difficult not to mention gruesome and messy

It was OK. Not exactly a finale anyone will be talking about for years to come.

Because...

Using her Fairy powers even one more time would have depleted her of magic, leaving her a normal human being. Which, until that final episode was what she always wanted

I've enjoyed the silliness and over the top aspects of True Blood during these 7 seasons, and I thought the last season was a nice farewell tour.
The finale was emotional and cheesy. Just like it should be, I guess.
I'm not going to miss the show, but I really enjoyed it.

Good riddance to this poorly written garbage.

Now HBO can put all that wasted money from this show to use making actual quality programming.

I thought the finale was ok, the ending was lame and it could have done without a few other parts. I won't miss the show but I'll miss Jess, Pam, and Eric.

Only good part of the finale.

I agree 100%

The thing that sucks most is, that once I felt like I invested so many seasons in the show, that my curiosity wouldnt allow me to stop watching. So, no matter how bad the show got, and it got pretty bad IMO, I kept watching because of all the time I had already invested in it. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but I guess it's just part of my personality.

I know exactly how you feel, I could compare that to how I feel about The Walking Dead. I've watched it this long, why stop now. I can't just cut a show loose like that.

That's what happened to everyone who watched Dexter.

Whoa.... Comparing TWD to this trash, c'mon man

I gave up on this ****fest when they started with the fairies, no fairies in TWD

Re-read it, I'm comparing my feelings towards how I feel about TWD in regards to feeling like I need to keep watching the show since I've invested years into it. I'm not comparing the shows. For how much TWD bored me last season, at least the show has always had a level of coherence to it. True Blood has had like 4-5 bad seasons in a row.
