And with my 1000th post I say....that sculpt is really shaping up! A good technique is to take a lot of pictures. You're able to see how your sculpt progresses. Also, take pics and compare them right next to a reference photo. Sometimes makes mistakes jump out. And check your work in a mirror often.

I've never thought of the mirror, that's an awesome idea. I also will take a picture of the sculpt on my phone to zoom in on certain spots that may need fixing. Thank you very much, Caine!

Hahaha. I haven't seen the show in so long. My friend mentioned it, so I started watching it last night while I was sculpting him. I've been doing his voice out load and in my head since last night. It won't stop... Haha

I don't know what I'm doing with this yet it. I wanted to sculpt a charicature of an old school Norwegian black metal dude. As I was sculpting him, I kept seeing more and more that I'm pretty much sculpting Nathan Explosion. Then I said, alright let's give him a beard. Then I thought he looked kind of like Robert Trujillo of Metallica fame. I'm gonna corpse paint the **** out of him anyway so I figure he'll look pretty cool.

I started watching True Detective Sunday 3:00am and watched the last episode. I loved the show. At 18:51 minutes in on the first episode, I fell in love with the show and the character Rust. It was around that time I started sculpting him. I finished a little bit ago.
