I find the pics of the emerald in hand to be very underwhelming and I have Ms. Newmar's signature on a couple of photos she signed for me when I met her in San Diego many years ago. So i just went and put the regular edition on SS Flex minus the $20 promo code. Glad I waited and skipped all the drama...LOL Looking forward to Batgirl and will probably flex Batman with another promo code soon.

I tell ya getting that DVD set last month and watching every episode(some I haven't seen in like 35+ years) certainly helped my excitement for this one as well as the future Tweeterhead 66 Batman prospects!

I'm waiting for the price to drop! :lol

I watch it every Saturday night on a local station...they have 2 episodes every Saturday :)

Glad you're getting her! You'll love it. We were chatting earlier about gem colors and sizes...you can buy other colors and switch out the gem if you like.

I haven't watched an episode in almost 30 years no joke. The reg DVD set I got for $80 shipped and was almost in tears watching the show. I thought of my youth and my parents who are no longer alive. It was a big moment when the first scene was the NY Worlds Fair was shown. I was there and lived a only a couple miles from it. Batman was a great show as were many back in the day. These Tweeterhead pieces have helped brought back some precious memories and for me at least nolstolgia means a hellavalot..

Hoping to get the Gems in a few days... Will of course photo. They are larger gems too.

That is so great to hear...just wish your parents could see Tweeterhead's collectibles. That's why I love collecting...I collect pieces that have meaning for me. Even though I am only 35, I watch this show all the time and am looking to get the set, you can't beat $80. It is a great show and so much better than the crap today.

Please do, I haven't decided which size to get and I'd love to see what the bigger ones look like with the statue. Thanks :)

I read somewhere on the forum the last couple days where Tweeterhead stated that all the remaining Emerald Edition statue buyers should be receiving shipping notices this week. I sure hope so. Seeing all the pics has me very impatient :lol

The emerald looks rather dull and small on many pics, almost indistinguishable from her glove. Is it really like that or is it appropriately translucent under the proper lighting conditions?

Also, a little video would be most welcome. ^_^

I wont say its dull...but it is rather dark and needs a generous bit of light to shine...The Diamond I think works better...I ordered a larger green peridot and other diff colored gems so in a couple days we'll see...will photo

Sorry Shoo, won't have time to post a video but it's definitely nice in the light. It's not a huge gem in her hand, but you can def buy a bigger size if you are not satisfied with it. It is translucent and looks very nice in her hand but it's kinda hard to tell. Hopefully the pic helps to point that out...this was taken under a fluorescent light

Thank you, starscream, every pic helps.

The thing is, I've been doing calculations and, if I had a full refund, I could buy a regular statue around here —I'm international— and still have a whopping extra €197 to spend elsewhere.

Yeah, you read that right - I could still have the diamond statue and an extra $220. I expected the emerald to be more bright and colorful, but, as it is, it makes little sense to pay so much in (ludicrous) shipping AND taxes for a thing that didn't live up to my expectations. :(

I gotcha. Since the gem is not permanently in her hand, I would def go with the diamond statue and buy either a larger gem or a different colored one if you wanted to switch out the diamond. In person, she is amazing and the emerald is nice but I see your point. Regular is probably the way to go unless you absolutely needed her signature as well

Yeah, I don't really need it. No disrespect to Ms. Newmar at all, I've never been much of a mythomaniac. :) If only the 'exclusive' would have come with both the emerald and the diamond...

Get the Diamond version and buy any colored zircon for cheap

It does need a generous bit of light to get the good highlights from the green jewel
