So I saw the flick last night over Rachel Getting Married. In retrospect, should have seen Rachel.
I thought Rachel Getting Married was overrated, and I was SO looking forward to seeing it. Acting was great but some of the story grated at me.

After much deliberation (and reading the posts by you guys!), I bought the first book last night and read it. Some of the writing was eh, and some of the storyline...
specifically, crazy stalker-like behavior by Edward and Bella's intense insecurities and dependency issues
...was annoying, but if any of you have read other "romance" that gets touted as "classic" (Wuthering Heights comes to mind), you've seen it before.

Bagels and I saw the movie today, and I liked it more than the book. The special effects were a little... off... as I believe some of you have said, but not as bad as I imagined.
Also, I thought Bella's insecurities/dependence issues were tempered and I liked Bella's friends a lot more than I liked them in the book.

I'll just point out that the only ignorant ones here are the ones that are bashing something they haven't seen. If you want to see this and you dislike it, then fine. But if you haven't seen it, how the ^^^^ can you know what you're talking about?

That's like saying if you don't smell your ^^^^ you don't know if it'll stink.

I got talked into buying the books so Ima try and get at least the first one read before tis released over here but I guess im looking forward to seeing it :p

I didn't need to hear the Backdoor Boys to know how lame they were.

Well, to be fair, DinoLast's (and, apparently yours as well) mind wasn't really that "open" to the movie. Saying you hope it will surprise you indicates that you expect it will disappoint, which is more of a preconception, not an open mind.

I was also surprised by the movie, because I liked it much more than the book. If you go in with low expectations it's easier to be impressed, I think.

I think it was the coolest chick flick i've ever seen. Good story line. Just wish the fight vs james would have been a lot better.

Twilight Edward Cullen 7" Action Figure:

From the hit movie!
This figure doesn't suck!
Highly detailed!

If you lined up in anticipation for the movie, don't forget this action figure! This Edward Cullen action figure stands 7-inches tall, made of plastic, and packs quite a bite in terms of detail (for the ladies)! The figure has an amazing likeness of Robert Pattinson. Take home this hot vampire today!

Coming April 2009
$15.69

No word yet on the "Don't look at me, I'm glittering and gold!!!!" variant.

Well, I don't have enough room on mine to do it, but the extra-chromosone lead character in Twilight does.

That retort made absolutely no sense :lol

I'm sure that guy has a lot to hate about... crazy panel at comic-con, decently successful movie with more to come, probably will now be exposed to other roles as well, etc.

Yep, sounds like he's hating, that's for sure.
