could go either way.
Seems like one of those fights where it should be Aldo early or Brown if it goes on.

I like both fighters. So I dont really care who wins. Just want a good fight.
.... well for absolutely no reason part of me wants Aldo to win

youre thinking about it the wrong way though. Both fighters have to agree to a fight. the UFC can't just force someone to fight another person. Also keep in mind that most of the younger guys will probably not want to fight Randy for the same salary they are currently getting because they have more to lose than he does at his old age.

If a younger guy wins people say "ah he's supposed to win, randy's old". if he loses then it's an embarrassment. not to mention they could potentially ruin their chances at a title by losing to couture for small money.

I'm just saying the UFC makes the matches(yes I know people need to agree) but it seems like there trying to give Randy easy fights to insure he gets a title shot. I'm sure theres alot of top LWH that would love to fight Randy. I'd like to see Randy fight the winner of Cane/Nog fight.

i dont ever see Randy going back to the HW division unless Brock cant ever fight again. No fight with Randy really interests me anymore cause he can really only win in one fashion, which is a very boring one.

Yea I dont see him going back to HW either.

I Doubt he fights again, and even if he does the result has already been spoiled because it's been confirmed by multiple sources that Kimbo will be fighting Houston Alexander at a catchweight of 215 lbs. at the TUF 10 finale December 5th.

Also, Aldo is a beast. :D

Lyoto Machida to rematch Shogun Rua in Montreal on May 1, 20

https://www.mmalinker.com/news/view/1013282/

The Worm will be in attendance..:rock

This will be another great fight...the first meeting was a 25 minute chess match. I thought Shogun took it, but the judged didn't see it that way.

I'm very interested to see Shogun's approach (i'm guessing he'll be more aggressive) and im also intrigued to see what Machida will do differently (especially how to avoid those devistating kicks to his ribs) as he closes the distance.

Okay so I never really pay much attention to this stuff, but a couple of weeks ago I caught the Rua vs Machida fight. To someone who doesn't know much about the sport, it appeared that Rua kicked Machida's ass, but then he won! I was furious.

The end.

There's your answer, know the sport and you'd understand why Lyoto won.

Well I'm not that interested in watching guys beat each other up, and I'm not sure what possessed me to watch that particular fight. Regardless of whether or not I know the sport, it still seemed to be a very controversial decision, yes?

it was indeed a controversial decision and it appeared that Machida took more damage during the fight.

You are not incorrect by stating Shogun Rua won the fight.

The majority of the MMA community agrees with you ... including Uncle Fester...I mean Dana White himself.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

why would they make the fight for May?, thats hella down the road. They just fought, unless their hurt, I dont know why they need that much time to train to fight each other again.

Machida needed surgery on his hand. It was injured before their first match.

Karo Parysian is off the UFC 106 card. He backed out today leaving Dustin Hazelett without a opponent. He was then released from the UFC. Dana is furious with Karo but said Hazelett will not suffer because of Karo's screw ups, he will get paid like he won the fight (but that doesn't include a SOTN bonus which Hazelett likes).

Personally I like Karo so my judgement isn't biased at all because I agree with Dana. Even though the WW division is needing more fighters, Karo hasn't been relevant in the division for three years (that's ok because his Judo is awesome) but he kept having to back out of fights and then tested positive for painkillers. He should have known he was on his last straw. He backed out today because he is still addicted to painkillers his camp said. Maybe he goes to Strikeforce?

O well by by Karo.

Hopefully this is more entertaining than last week's Vera/Couture fight.
