Super Freak
Mad only in the sense of he wanted to prove again that the UFC is where the best fighters are which is always what Dana said. Thats why he never thought of him as the best. He wasnt in the UFC and by him winning or losing in the UFC would only make the UFC look better. A loss in the UFC would again prove he wasnt that good and a win could be spun the other way and market it towards how good the UFC is.
I understand what you're saying but TBH that's being done right now.
And I think it was actually worse (with Fedor losing outside of the UFC) considering he lost to a guy not even in the top 5 (which is where all the top HW's in the UFC ranked at the time) and a guy who got KO'ed in his last fight with the UFC before being cut. So either way it makes the UFC look good and proves what Dana has been saying about Fedor.
The only losers were Fedor, M-1 Global and Strikeforce.
As for Overeem I was just making a comment about Dana saying Overeem wasnt the man...do I think hes #1, not at all do I think hes good yeah. He mentioned Chuck beating Overeem back in 2004 Pride Tournament and its like to bring up something that far back who cares ya know.
I agree. But like I said, it's not just Dana that does that. Even Strikeforce mentioned that Werdum held a victory over Overeem which was 4 years old.
Its all relative, because until you hit the UFC he hates you and thinks your overated. Like I said until you fight in the octagon Dana will go against you...because he can.
He's a promoter, what do you expect!?
