Awesome performance by Dos Santos. I love Cain, but I don't see him beating Dos Santos. Dos Santos is a beast.

Some great fights tonight. I had tweeted, "who let Cain into the cage with knives", lol dude that was just murder, lol. Junior as always looks top notch and that dead on accurate striking is going to be tough tough to beat and I too love Cain but I definetly think hes going to have his hands full against Junior. Junior is a machine man.

I think JDS will repeat the first performance. Cain's biggest strength has always been speed and accuracy with his striking compared to the other HW's. But JDS' striking is faster and more accurate. Which is why he won the first time. And which is why I'd pick him in a rematch.

Crazy but, all 5 main card fights were won by stoppage. No HW LnP, gassed man-love tonight. :lol

Knockout of the Night - Nelson & Hardy
Submission of the Night - Sass & Struve

Each guy got an extra 70K. No FOTN bonus was given out.

Mayhem Miller was cut (no surprise there) and UFC 147 is sucking even more now because Belfort is having surgery on his hand. Sorry but Werdum vs. Russow ain't cutting it.

He may have gotten cut, but I LOL'd when he gave CB a noogie up against the cage. :lol

Pretty good fights, some surprises. I think I was in straight shock while Varner put that ass whooping on Barboza. I thought this fight was going to be Varner's swansong as he sailed off into obscurity. :horror

Least shocking: Is there anyone that didn't think Mir-JDS was going to go down just like it did?

Well Mir looked as bad as i expected. He hasn't looked good since his loss to Carwin.I wouldn't count his win over Cro Cop and Nelson anything impressive.

Actually,im glad Lawar Johnson lost...There are always these guys coming to ufc showcasing their heavy hands and getting the momentum,up until they face a well rounded fighter and realize that they have alot that needs work in their game.Sure he hits hard but that's all he has,of what we've seen from him so far.

Happy Nelson got an impressive win,how can you not love that guy :lol

Ask Dana White :dunno :rotfl

Although I think hes growing on Dana, him running to the edge of the cage to mock Dana after each fight probably doesn't help :nana:

wish I saw that Varner fight, I only got to catch the main event, which was so damn predictable. I guess Miller is defn done in the UFC according to Dana now.......not a shocker.

Have any of you read the espn article on fighter pay........found it very interesting, not sure what I think: https://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/page/UFCpay/ufc-fighters-say-low-pay-most-painful-hit-all

Dana's response to the article:

Hey, Azure, that fight was televised so keep a look out, it may be rebroadcast fairly quickly.

Injury Bug hits again. Belfort is out of UFC 147 (Wandy fight). I wonder if this card will be free, Its awful.

Anyone who still thinks fighters in the UFC aren't getting paid fat dollars, go check out the video of Josh Koshcheck showing his huge house, multiple luxury cars AND private plane. That should pretty much dead that whole argument because Kos is a mid-level fighter who's never been champ and dude is living comfortably.

I don't get that crap Fuel tv

Yea, in that article, one of the "mid fighters" said he made 60k+ a year, which is pretty comfortable by my standards. I didn't know that about Kos, but he's basically a high mid-low high type of fighter. You think the stats about the lower tier fighters are true though? Making 20k a year as a full time fighter, it would be essential to have at least another job on the side.

Lytle, before he was retired, was still working as a full time firefighter I believe, that's crazy, but he obviously wasn't fighting for the money cause he was winning mad bonus money almost all the time.

Definitely possible AND expected. Those guys who fight on the under card, who don't put ***** in seats/bring in PPV numbers that complain about their pay are the equivalent of a security guard at Microsoft expecting to make the same kind of money as the people who develop software there. Why would the UFC pay low level guys who don't bring in revenue hundreds of thousands of dollars!? That's exactly how other MMA orgs went bankrupt.

No one is forcing these people to fight in the UFC. If they don't like the pay, go somewhere else to fight or get a normal job. Period.

And I'm sorry but, someone who's making even $17,000 and $23,000 (the numbers quoted in that ESPN article) is doing better than people slaving away 5 days a week/8 hours a day in some burger joint.
