GSP dominated Diaz on the ground, which is where Diaz said no one in MMA wanted to be with him in a fight. And GSP dominated Diaz in the stand up, where Diaz supposedly wanted the fight to be.

:lol:lol:lol

He really did, and I wish he would of whooped his *** some more in the stand up. But when things got to the ground, I felt GSP just couldn't lay the ground and pound like he did with Condit.

I don't see how anyone thought Condit won that, I had Johnny with the first two rounds, and a close third round for Condit.

Cheap shot and should've had a point taken away.

Great gifs. Thanks for all those.

Hey did anyone get a chance to listen to this before yesterday....

I laughed forever on this one.

I equate GSP haters to the same level as Silva haters. People just want to see some titles changing. Aside from being a decision fighter...he can clearly demonstrate that he wins fights. I actually thought it was close to a TKO a few times and if it were any other fighter, in all likelihood, the ref would have stepped in.

GSP doesn't have KO power and he's not a offensive minded JJ fighter, so how else is he supposed to win? His fights aren't even close.....

I didn't even watch the fight, it was obvious how it would turn out. The hype machine was ridiculous. I knew gsp would take him down and in the end have a messed up eye as he always seems to have. Diaz is not the type of humble guy thats gonna look at his wrestling and admit it needs to better, this was never a contest. Hendricks on the other hand, I saw his first fight and I thought he could be champ. I'm surprised it took him so long to get here to be honest.

This fight just reminded me of how mma has become pretty boring these days. They do need to bring back yellow cards though.

I don't recall gsp stalling much at all in the fight, but in some fights , it might be necessary, but also , I see refs stand guys up when a fighter is a dominant position. A fighter needs time to work for a sub, some stalling can be very subjective at times.

The only guy i saw standing around like a fool the whole match was Diaz..why didn't he put some of that boxing skill and stamina to good use?, he was *****..and just look at the shots GSP landed on him..pretty sad when Diaz has the supposed boxing skill and known more for fighting on his feet.

Yeah Im a Nick Diaz fan and well he got beat. I dont think he got his *** kicked. GSP does what he has to do to control the fight score the points he needs and get a decision.

Ive read several articles now saying George does just enough. Thats fine I just dont think Nick really got beat up. I mean hell Gsp looked about as bad as Nick.

George took him down at the start of the bell and just controlled with wrestling, didnt really inflict much damage. Landed some jabs and a few super man punches, but I mean thats not really "getting beat up" in my mind. Did Nick lose the fight he sure as hell did, lol.

Regardless Im still a Nick Diaz fan no matter what. I was not impressed by Georges perfermance, lol. Call me a hater I just think the champ should and probably could have finished Nick, but didnt.

Now I can just put my hope in Hendricks to beat George.

iunno.. you're not the only person I've seen say that and I personally don't get it. Because say what you will about Diaz, he isn't the easiest guy in MMA to finish. He'd only been stopped twice in 35 fights going in to 158. The first time was real early in his career (TKO) and the second was a doctor stoppage due to cuts against Noons, which prompted Diaz to have surgery to prevent getting cut so easily (removed scar tissue/shaved down some of the bone on his forehead). And he hasn't had any significant problems with cuts since.

So it's kinda crazy people expect GSP to finish a guy who's known for being next to impossible to finish. :lol

I think if GSP can avoid the early onslaught against Hendricks he'll win in the championship rounds because Hendricks looked absolutely exhausted against Condit by the 3rd round.

Serra was the last.

Every other fight he has had has been with legit #1 contenders. I would love to see finishes as much as the next fan but GSP's style is what it is. And it works for the sport.

I have no issue with grappling in the sport...only when a wrestler does nothing to advance his position. GSP doesn't fit that bill. His fights are a complete demonstration of MMA. Minus the fireworks.

Yeah Im not saying he could have easily finished him but I just felt like he wasnt doing enough damage while controlling the ground. I mean regardless if people like Nick or not hes a good fighter. I will agree he didnt show much during that fight, but I just felt GSP could have done more. Again when I say more maybe just cause more damage. I mean watching the press conference afterwards GSP looked about as damaged as Nick if not more bruised up.

Trust me on that I love the ground game, Im not a person who hates it I appreciate it and have trained it myself. So thats not my gripe, but in my opinion GSP does fit that bill. His ground game is pure position only. Again I just feel he didnt hardly damage Nick at all on the ground.

Thought this was a pretty good interview. apparently after the prefight presser?

I agree with that. I do admit that I felt GSP was holding back a little bit. Only did enough to make sure he controlled the fight from start to finish. I feel like the damage he inflicted was what he felt would be necessary and nothing more.

That's not saying much when Diaz was Fugly before the fight started.

ha ha ha, yeah from what I read hes got lawyers on his tax situation now.

I do think Hendricks will be Georges biggest challenge, but I also agree that Hendricks was also gassing. I too said the same thing if GSP can take him into the 4th and 5th I think he can...well pull out the decsion.
