Amazing short released today, with Shatner's involvement and music by Michael Giacchino.

Nice. Kinda seems improper to make the usual commentary on the deepfaking technology but I'm going to. It was mostly very convincing. It's funny how we subconsciously know another person's posture and how they walk such that you could tell that wasn't Shatner in the long shots or even the 'from behind' shots - but any shot showing the faces up close and facial expression changes was really good and achieved exactly what they wanted.

They overdid the long ending, it lost a bit of impact, but still very nice.

This made me so emotional. This is a fantastic tribute and closure for an era an so much more. This short film captured everything which made Star Trek, Star Trek and handled the heroes, legacy characters with dignity and respect. This is how you do it...and this short makes you think about life, the journey, death and the meaning of things. Life goes way too fast. Enjoy it and live it while you can.
