I just want to say that this forum does not support in any way the production and sale of unlicensed Marvel product or any other property.

If you choose to deal with someone creating unlicensed product, please be aware of the risks involved - potentially large amounts of money being sent overseas with no recourse in recovering your funds if the other party doesn't carry through.

This is a separate issue from recasts which we will not allow to be sold on this forum in any way shape or form.

you will not allow unlicensed products to be sold here or recasts?

I think unlicensed statues are ALLOWED, but he wants to give us a warning about the risks (ie: sending $$$$ to someone with no feedback in a foreign country with no recourse). Bootlegs & recasts are not allowed.

Yeah just read it again. Some poor soul probably got ripped off by a douche pickle. :monkey2

come on now, this is not a babysitter forum. we should already be aware of risks involved on our own.

could be just a precautionary post with the pop up of the deadpool 1/4 scale and collosus vs juggy dio hitting the boards, by relatively newcomers to this board anyway.

I personally buy whatever crap is being offered. I just bought a comb switchblade. It looks cool, and it helps straighten out my bangs. :lol

It is but it isn't as well, there was quite a lively discussion going on another prominant board in which a member (mod) was quite upset over an unlicensed product of his which was apparently recast - from a bust into a statue. I think it is kind of ironic for collectors to get up in arms about "stealing" their casts, but not for the theft that comes at the company's expense.

Double standards are awesome! :banana

Its because you get involved in customs, which are all unlicensed, there is wait times and unforseen issues that screw people's minds. I've been waiting on a custom for a couple of months but I know how long customs take, others are already flipping out and filing PP disputes or going through CCs. When they happen here they run to Uncle Dave because its his board for "big brother" to step in. As was said before, you gotta know what you are getting involved in and that its an amazingly long process usually so when you go "off the grid" you are on your own, in uncharted territory.

I'm interested though Dave are you shutting down all the threads for unlicensed pieces or is this just a warning?

Its kinda like dealing with Ebay. You might get exactly what you paid for or you might get royaly screwed. You gotta use common sense and if something doesnt seem right...its best to stay away. The difference is that it will be mich harder to get your money back when dealing with Unlicensed individual sellers.

Best solution...have them put it up for sale on ebay (although that is much more risky for them).

I find that extremely childish to run to the mods or admins to in hopes that the admins can resolve the situation for them. They are here to run the forum, not to be your legal representative.

Sure, let the mods or admin know that there is a scammer on board, but that should be the extent of it.
