Re: *TDK Two-Face Resculpt and Repaint-PICS IN LAST POSTS!*-Gipetto's Workshop

Awesome work on this one.

Finally finished! this one went down to the wire! had to get it out before christmas and finished it in the wee hours right before having to take it to the post office. So b/c of the crunch on time, the cuts are very crude as you will see in the pics but thankfully the recipient loved it so I'm happy :D My first time doing something like this. Feedback as always is greatly welcome and very appreciated!

Re: *Gambit (Taylor Kitsch) FULL FIGURE & BOX-PICS IN POST 289*-Gipetto's Workshop

Dude, awesome presentation!!! :clap
Definitely the best Gambit custom.
I love the packaging also. I'm surprised you sold that.
That would have never left my collection.

Very impressive brother, It looks like an official HT release.

wawaweeewa! Awesome piece! looks freaking classy. Nice job!.

A custom box, very cool. I like how you added the facial hair, a lot of Gambit customs seem to forget that he had a bit of a 5:00 shadow.

this is the figure I'd buy from HT to go with Wolverine :monkey2

Awesome work on this one.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! It is very much appreciated and inspiring:1-1:

Thanks man! I didn't sell it though :wink1: it was given as a Christmas/birthday gift :) I'm hoping to do a few superman related figures at this level or hopefully better within the new year

Bring that powaaa G! :rock

Wow! Nice job on the hat! :clap

Thanks guys!

I'm waiting on parts to arrive now try and get started on some new projects before it's off to campus. I have 3 figures right now that should be relatively "easy" b/c I've found clothing that would be great.

thanks for your interest man I really appreciate it.

and to answer your questions:
it cost well almost $300 to make and obtain everything including materials to make the box and all it's inserts/art. This was a one of kind figure though that I made as a gift. It was hard enough getting the specific parts before and I bet it would be even harder to get them now. Sorry man

SO beautiful it inspired me to do one myself. No way it will rival yours but I definitely got a lot of ideas from you!

Do you have any more of these left? Gambit is my favorite of the X-men and would love to get the Wolverine Origins one.

Oops went back and saw that you already answered my question. That is too bad.
How much do you think it would cost to make this figure again?
I'm sure you would get some more people to buy it even it would cost more than 300.
Well take care and you have some skills.

Thanks man I'm glad you like it so much but yea it was just a one time thing for this character most likely. But I wouldn't mind doing something like this for other characters.
I'm honestly not sure how much it would cost to make another like this though. I've looked on eBay and the parts I used on this guy seem to be pretty scarce

Re: *Gambit (Taylor Kitsch) FULL FIGURE & BOX-PICS IN POST 289*-Gipetto's Workshop

Superman Returns Lex Luthor WIP. I've got a lot of work ahead of me but this is just a shot of the clothes not futzed or altered to what they will eventually look like. I've yet to start sculpting the head as well.

as you can see, I'm going for this look:
superman-poster-lex.jpg

and here's a WIP of my Tom Welling Clark Kent. HP Head and on a HT Captain America body.

Going for the season 10 look. I've got some pants coming in a bit from my good buddy Steve74. I'm going to make the jacket (or at least attempt to before trying to buy a similar one) so that'll be a new experience.

Which suit are you suing for Luthor?

Re: *Gambit (Taylor Kitsch) FULL FIGURE & BOX-PICS IN POST 289*-Gipetto's Workshop

I'm honestly not sure. I just went on Toy Anxiety to see what they had and picked that one

Looks damn crisp.

Could you link me to the place you're talking about?

Yea it's a pretty nice suit for the most part but I have some re-tailoring to do to make it fit a bit better.

But here's the website:
https://www.toyanxiety.com

It's a good place to pick up spare parts for things that might of broke on your figure or any parts for customizing.
