Re: *Lex Luthor Clothing Set*Po.498-Gipetto's Workshop

Nice updates Steve. So is Lex finally where you've wanted him at ? :hi5:

almost man almost! I'm currently reworking an Ada Chan spacey sculpt. It's not the best but it seems to be all I've got to work with :lol thought I'd find the Iminime one somewhere but can't so for now the Ada Chan sculpt will have to do. Forum member Username is going to handle making the Kryptonian crystals and what not for me and then he'll be ready :lol

On another note, I just need my Wonka coat for that figure to be read :yess:

Also working on Victor from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride movie. I've got tons of incomplete stuff on the work bench, dabbling in each whenever I can manage

That's awesome man! You should take a pic of all your Depp characters. Which character do you plan on tackling next? A once upon a time in Mexico would be dope and, fear and loathing

Man, you just keep getting better and better. Keep it up bud. I especially love how you textured that Superman repaint.

Haha thank dude! I'll definitely take a pic of them all once after Mad Hatter and Wonka are done. Hatter will be the next done I think. He's going to be sent off to Rahmier for some resculpting then I'll paint him up and add some orange mohair to it. Wonka is nearly complete. I just got the coat in from GeeWhiz Customs. It's great but needs a few tweaks to it to make it perfect.

I've been really debating on a Agent Sands figure for the longest. I just can't seem to find a gun with the kind of barrel attachment he uses. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to just do a Johnny Depp as himself figure or take on George Jung from Blow. Too many characters not enough $$$ :lol

Hey Ryu! :hi5: thanks man :) Finishing up Return Lex Luthor right now. Using some translucent paints and I'm loving how it's coming out. just a few more layers and he'll be done :)

Re: *Corpse Bride Victor*Po.502-Gipetto's Workshop

Oh man, anxious to see them! Didn't he use some type of mac-10/ Uzi with a silencer? Would think that's a common gun, but idk about guns in the 1/6 world lol Blow was a great movie and I have a poster in my room, but I'd be so stoked to see a Depp fig of himself. I really want to start my own depp collection. All I have is 2 of his characters but Sweeney is next on my list.

Re: *Corpse Bride Victor*Po.502-Gipetto's Workshop

haha you're guess is as good as mine on Sands gun :lol I don't even know about guns in the real world :lol never held one nor shot one

Sweeney is a must man! he was a shelf warmer unfortunately but woo it's got the best Depp portrait around IMO. It's pretty much a DX w/o the PERS

Re: *BR Joker Repaint WIP (slick hair)*Po.509-Gipetto's Workshop

Re: *BR Joker Repaint WIP (slick hair)*Po.509-Gipetto's Workshop

Looking great dude! I always prefer my sculpts to have a bit of a squint as eyes always seem too big to me. But the paint apps are excellent lol

Thanks dude! :hi5: I've never repainted a semi current HT head before so it was pretty fun. I'm usually repainting rather soft medicom or SS heads that kind of lack the detail that most HT heads have

And yea looking at the pics now, the eye area does look big but's b/c some of the eyelids are showing through are clashing with the eyeball making them look bigger than they are :wink1:

I've finished it now but it's dark now so better pics will have to wait. I'm going to try outdoor pics this time. I think it will show the paint work a bit better

Re: *Maximus Sculpt repaint*Po.513-Gipetto's Workshop

Hey guys here's a quick repaint/touch up I did to one of the two main Maxiums sculpts floating around on ebay.

Re: *Maximus Sculpt repaint*Po.513-Gipetto's Workshop

Wow.. Massive improvement, even the expression changed! Paint apps look flawless. Loved the movie and character, but would prefer the gladiator/coliseum attire, and I don't think ACI is doing that version, right?

Re: *Maximus Sculpt repaint*Po.513-Gipetto's Workshop

thanks bro! :hi5:

Yea you're right they haven't announced the Colosseum attire...yet  I hope they do. It's the look everyone wants. But until then I'll be alright with the General Armor :) Got to have a Maximus. Going to also get Achilles :yess: but going to change the body on it. I hate the ACI muscle bodies

Re: *BR Joker repaint*Po.517-Gipetto's Workshop

Hey everyone! :wave

Here's a repaint and slight mod to a bootleg BR Joker sculpt I got from KG Hobby. Resculpted the hairline to get rid of the seam. Hope everyone's having a great Saturday!

Re: *BR Joker repaint*Po.517-Gipetto's Workshop

Fantastic job! Massive improvement, the seam is gone! Looks like the upcoming bank robber. Paint looks much more natural than stock. But around the eyes seems too wet or strong. It's prob just the lighting or camera.

Re: *BR Joker repaint*Po.517-Gipetto's Workshop

Thanks man! I always appreciate your feedback man :duff: The shiny is a combo of lighting and my finish. My finish has a very slight sheen to it that I like. Matte just looks too flat. However I'm going to buy some of that tester's dullcoat matte finish everyone talks about next weekend to see what it's all about :)

Here's a close up of the eye area. Not so shiny here.
