I went ahead and ordered two of the exclusive version, but will probably cancel one unless the economy turns around. I'd love to have two to flank Obi-Wan and (hopefully) Cody, but it will depend on how my finances look at the time he ships. I'm surprised they have him scheduled for 1st Quarter of 09. I was thinking it would be 2nd Quarter before we saw him.
Let me begin by saying that I love the figure and love that Sideshow is cranking out the troops. It's also great that they included the blaster and rifle. However, I'm not liking the pleather looking underarmor underneath the armor. I think I prefer Medicom's cloth underarmor. The leather looks great on General Obi-Wan but I don't like it on the clones. Also, I was hoping there was just a problem with lighting on the teaser pic causing it to look like there is a point on the chin of the helmet, but it looks like that isn't the case. So, I'm just going to chalk it up to the fact that this is the prototype, but that helmet needs some work. I don't usually complain about figures in this stage of the game, but the point at the chin bothers me and the paint from the visor should connect the eye section to the nose section (for lack of a better way to describe it). Hopefully this will be corrected on the production piece. Otherwise, it looks great. Those are my only concerns. Now, bring on Lando, Dooku, Cody, Boba Fett, Jango, 3PO, R2, Chewie . . .

Did you mean "eye section to the MOUTH section"?
I love this figure too. My only little gripe is that the ankles look funny. I know it's because Lucas and ILM have "fugded" this from the beginning, but everyone else has followed suit, so Im use to seeing the shin guard and boot be all white as if it's one whole piece. I know SS strives for maximum realism, and I appreciate it them for it, however, in this case, I think they should have went for white ankles. Sometimes you have to fudge it. Maybe if they would have done a white "sock" type piece for the bottom leg of the armor???

Some of the clones have the continuation of paint past the lower part of the eyes. The Utapau does not, as far as I can tell. Can't find a screengrab atm, but my koto, hasbros, and other pics I have seen online looks like sideshows.

Even for someone not very familiar with the helmet design, I can tell the lower half is a bit off. I'd hope they fix that but it's probably too late but future ROTS clones releases should be improved.
The exclusive is a bit weak, I would've preferred a damaged battle droid piece. I got an exclusive anyways, any flaws I do see are minuscule and not enough to put me off.
One question though, if Sideshow says exclusives won't be repeated with other figures, then will Commander Cody not come with a battalion decorated base? It would seem strange for him not to have it on the shelf when all his troops around him do.
Also, if you've ordered one not using the link, you can order a second exclusive using the link and cancel that first order (I forgot to check the Freaks site for a link at first).

I dont know...??? Take a look at Cmdr. Thire on the SW databank. Sure looks connected to me.

ok ill say what ive been told, so authenticity isnt guarenteed, allegedly some guy got some alleged scans or a fullsize bucket, not sure which, from an alleged 'company' of a clone bucket,said 'company' were as knowledgable about said bucket as anyone could be ahem ahem, and he made some molds....

Actually im pretty sure it IS painted but there's glare from the lights blocking it out.

Ordered 2 of the exclusive. That way if/when Cody comes around, and he doesn't have one, I'm covered. I don't see that being the case though. They'll probably add "COMMANDER " to the stand's "212th Attack Battalion: Utapau" to make it unique or something.

Well, I guess there's a glare on all the pictures then, because it's not connected in any of the shots. I'm sure it just slipped by them and they wanted to get pics up quickly. Sometimes I think Sideshow does these things to tick us off and give us something to gripe about. I'm sure they will fix it in the production run and if not, it's an easy fix even for someone as non-artistic as me.

Ahh. Ordered the exclusive of this guy. I'm a little disappointed with the exclusive being a Display Stand. I dunno. Kind of lame if you ask me, but whatever. I'm just happy to be one of those actually with an order in place. Instead of my usual place on the Wait List line
Fig looks great to me. I do agree with previous posters about the ankles/feet. They do look a little strange to me. Looks like he's wearing a pair of dirty Crocs.

Meh maybe it isnt glare and the lower part isnt painted. Either way, no biggie. It can be painted when I get it.
The stand sucks ass. I know it's a clone and what kinda ex. could you really give it but a stand? A ^^^^ing stand?

When you have Kotos costing about as much, and Medicom's for 30-70% more, it's a no brainer. I'll wait around for a good deal from my friendly retailer. Glad to see the big rifle included.
As for the accuracy of the helmet, well, I know that MR had to scale theirs up to accommodate most peoples' heads.
