Season 3 appears to be no less so. The most recent episode was another good one. A bit Pirates of the Caribbean in the amount of double-crossing etc but really enjoyable nonetheless

I agree a-dev! Thursday's episode was so much fun!!! And then!!!Katherine shows up!!!
Her motivations and her confession about allowing her own humanity to win out sometimes was surprising. I was also surprised how the Michael thing turned out - didn't think he'd get killed! Klaus lives on, unbelievable! I'm a bit puzzled what he intends for the rest of his family. Why does he want to resurrect them now? Calls into question why he 'killed' them all in the first place, I dunno. We'll see

Oh, and I absolutely loved the scene
Michael was killed. Well, actually..I kinda expected somthing to happen to him soon, but the way it happened was surprising. I don't think he should have been killed off yet..They could have done more with him imo. But I'm so glad that Klaus isn't out yet.

where Damon rips out one of the Hybrid's hearts.
Thats pretty much Damon's Fatality! move. Remember him doing that against the Wolf pack that tried to get Tyler to join.
Yeah, RE:Michael - I agree, it seemed as though they were building him up so much, I really expected him to last longer in the show and maybe replace Klaus as the big bad - of course. Maybe he still will. No one seems to really die in TVD!

Vampire Diaries is the only show/movie/book/game/anything where I really, just really can't pick a favorite character.
They're all just perfect. Especially Klaus.
..and Damon, Stefan, Elijah, Tyler, Elena, Katherine..
If there was one thing I could change about the show..
Werewolves need to morph into Werewolves. Not fast Wolves. I remember literally getting on my knees and praying to the full moon that they wouldn't do the Twilight crap and just make them Wolves...
They're all just perfect. Especially Klaus.

I agree with about the werewolves. I wonder if they did regular wolves for budget reasons? A really fun show though.

Although, I never looked at a Werewolf the same way as say..an Ogre or somthing. They're both monsters, but one is this mysterious, mystical beast that runs through the forest and howls at the moon, while the other one is..well..an Ogre.
Point is, if they're using regular Wolves for the latter reason..they shouldn't be.
But yeah, some of the Wolf CGI (or whatever) looks pretty bad itself.. So it could be the whole cost issue, but then again they are the highest rated show on the CW, surely they could have done more with the Werewolf design if they wanted to..

This season is the best by far, miles ahead of the previous two..and I loved the previous two.
Elijah is back!!
I watched the new episodes the other day & I'm caught up
Great thing is Klaus and Elijah are now on equal-footing in terms of how cool their characters are. After Elijah many people were underwhelmed by Klaus when he finally appeared. However Elijah being gone allowed Klaus to come into his own. Things are going to be really interesting now!
