Just got around to opening my piece & noted this, is anyone's spidey like that or is it an unacceptable smudging or an I being unreasonable

To me it looks as if someone has made an error in the webbing ,half wiped it off and started again

I've seen several other pics of this statue, and they all had the same. I don't own it myself, but as I said, on other pics it also has this.

Im not 100% sure, but Ive always thought they colored the Web Lines on the recessed webbing spidey pieces by using a wash technique.

And personally I think its kinda of a "quick" way of painting the web-lines.

They wash over the pieces with the black for the web lines and then wipe away the black on the raised areas and it stays in the recessed web lines. If this isnt done carefully and too much is wiped off you get the results you have on yours.

.. but this is all a guess on my part.

All the Spidey's will have some issues with the lines on the suit as they aren't indivisually painted with a brush. I would assume they use a black wash to fill in the lines and wipe the excess off.

surely all line would be perfect then but in the 3 rd & last pic you can see where they have went off line

its just a sloppy job on the wash IMO.

I wouldnt eliminate it from my collection altogether,
I'd just send it back for a replacement.

I would look the other way on something like this. You will not get a perfectly painted one. Now, if it was a noticeable smear on any of the white areas like Spidey's eyes or Venom's white logo then I would be bothered.

I would agree that it is not that bad to warrant a return unless there was a paint chip or very noticable paint error/slop. Even the Spidey VS Hulk had the lines painted the same way. There is no guarantee that you would get a better one sent to you. It looks like the areas in question are pretty much on the back and wouldn't be that noticable to me. Without having mine in front of me, it looks like those areas don't have a sculpted web line and they tried to touch them up by painting or connecting a line with a brush.

mine dont look like that at all on both the regular and excl

Titan, it is hard to tell by your pictures because they are not nearly as zoomed in as the previous pictures. In this picture though, I can see a couple messy lines in the center of the head where the shine from the flash is.
