Re: venakin's custom work

woah dude! massive improvement - i love it! just got my indy yesterday and it really needs a repaint. yours both look sweet.

Re: venakin's custom work

heh, wish I could take credit for the skin tone! that was all SST... the eyes were me.. lol I took out alot of redness with the eys.. looking back on the pics they were a bit overkill.

Re: venakin's custom work

The eyes are a bit scary with a wide eyed expression in the WIP, but now look very nice in the second round of pics. You did an excellent job making the irises round. Reduce the amount of orange hue on the lower eyelid, and I think they will look fantastic.

Re: venakin's custom work

btw what ever happened to your repaints justin? I've always loved to see what you did with skintones and etc..

Re: venakin's custom work

Very nice. I like the Wayne. Maybe you could make the hair a little darker...?

Re: venakin's custom work

thanks dude, but I know what you mean.. but I ran out of black.. so all the iris painting is actually with brown.

Re: venakin's custom work

You have gotten really good, and I am envious! I remember seeing your progress awhile back on your SS Jedi Luke and to see your work now on Andy's Bruce and Padme's eyes, wow.
I really want to start painting my own but I know there is a learning curve. How long have you been working at it?

Re: venakin's custom work

well, I've been inactive for a while because I was broke and had no materials, now I'm just broke :D, but I think I first started like a year ago. at age 17. then a gradual process of trial and error. I was honestly tired of the wait of customizers and the money it cost for a repaint.. so I decided to take the initiative and start on my own.. hopefully one day get as good as J.C hong from hot toys.

Re: venakin's custom work

I love your Bruce Wayne, did you mod the hair so it wouldn't have that strip hanging on his forehead and What type of suite did you use on him?

Re: venakin's custom work

Wow, that's impressive, now you just gotta work on that broke thing! JK!
