Wonder Festival, specifically the one held in Shanghai last month. Started in Japan as an exhibition for garage kit models and action figures.

Such a shame they changed that beautiful face.
But still gonna get her, better than the Tunshi one, IMHO.

Off the top of my head there are a few brands which have made Mai in 1/6:

Genesis Emen (Licensed)

Genesis Emen (2nd player color)

Iminitoys (outfit and sculpt kit / no body)

Tunshi Studio (Licensed)

SuperDuck (outfit and sculpt kit only / no body)

I certainly think VeryCool has the superior Mai in terms of sculpt, body proportions, and additionally, she has the rolling eye system.

I pre-ordered one since she's one of my favorite 90s characters from that Fatal Fury SNES game. I don't remember her hips to be that thick though haha! Maybe this version is based on a newer game? I always remembered her as just being the big breasted lady who jiggled as her victory pose!

Tunshi has rolling eyes too and the art design is pretty different in the sculpt and body shape.

It seems that an upcoming game gave her thick thighs. It's at the 38 second mark lol!

I hope this figure and the Star Man Chun Li and Cammy figures do well enough to inspire a wave of fighting game characters. There's statues galore but it's a very underrepresented market in 1/6 outside of some cheap Superduck costume sets. One of these bodies would go great for a Morrigan.

Recently, players have paid more attention to VERYCOOL's Mai Shiranui.​

Some people like the charming one, while others like the more heroic one.​

They should make the fringe swappable and magnetic. For such a minor change, I do not see the need for two SKU 's.

**** you who pre-ordered our initial version, now we have the straight bangs version for those wanted that one from WF. **** you again for being a stupid ****, now you have to double dip or hope your reseller change your order. **** you three for just the sake of **** you.

I see they’re getting a lot of backlash but they also could have decided to not give the straight bang version to avoid backlash and we’re all stuck with only the one version. Better ways to go about it, but in the end business is business.

Kit posted you can switch your order to the straight bang version if you already ordered the first one. Worth a chance to ask customer service wherever you bought from.
