Anyone here know much about the repro blister bubbles you can buy? I've seen some on eBay for Star Wars figures, but would like to get one for Zartan for the purpose of modifying an opened Zartan/Swamp Skiier box missing the inserts to appear as if it is unopened. So, I'm not sure which size might be best if any of those listed on eBay, or if there might be Joe blisters you can buy without cardbacks (I have e-mailed eBay sellers but they are all ignoring me. . .). I'm thinking this might be most appropriate:

The bubble would need to be about this size relative to Zartan:

I think the one in the auction will work. '77 Solo is a little thin/lanky so its hard to tell exactly. I guess it would help if the pic wasn't pure crap too. :lol

Are you completely against just glueing the bubble on your's back down?

Thanks for the response Mando. That one in the picture isn't mine, or I would be happy with it as-is. I don't have the insert parts at all so I'm putting together my own reproduction. I guess I'll give that one a shot. Funny I e-mailed 3 or 4 different eBay sellers about specific, easy to answer questions and got no responses. For the Solo bubble, the guy wouldn't even answer a combined shipping question. I guess they don't care much about getting business.

Those Tiger Shark figures are awesome looking. I still to this day have never seen one in person.

I added 2 new items to my Magnum P.I. collection this weekend:

The model is open but complete and the wax box is unpunched and full.

^^ I always loved that car. If I was rich, I'd be collecting cars like that.

You and me both! The 308 is easily one of the first cars I'd get.
They're actually not that expensive either.

Scored this Alden's Department Store exclusive "Air Force" Steve Austin. Ultra rare.

Wow, i didn't know that store exclusives were that old. Very nice!

Also scored this great 1980 Remco Dracula to complete my trio of monsters from back in the day.

Now gotta find the other three.......yikes!

Nice set so far! Once I finish my Mini-Monsters set I'm going to try for the 8"ers. I have a boxed Franky and a custom loose Mummy so far. Good luck on Phantom, Wolfie and Creature. They're BIG bucks.

I would also want a DeLorean for obvious reasons. :lol

And KITT, and the General Lee, and the A-Team Van, and the Batmobile. THE LIST COULD GO ON FOREVER! :panic:

Not as old as that figure, but there were GI Joe store exclusives in the '80s from Sears that are very rare and highly sought after.

That's cool, I didn't know that. Exclusives are cool and a pain the butt at the same time.

I had never heard of that! Very cool! What year is that from?

Thanks. There is not a lot of info on the suit. From what I have gathered from a few former Kenner designers that worked on the line.....it was released only through Aldens Department Stores most likely between 1976-77. The suit propotedly came with a dress cap as well, although I have never seen it. This outfit is really rare and I have only seen a few others over the years.

Tommarow I have another ultra rare Steve Austin coming in the mail........UK Exclusive light blue track suit Steve Austin. I will post photos once it arrives.

The 70's were full of in store exclusives. Remember the Sears Star Wars Cantina set, or the JC Penny's sonic land speeder.

As kids I don't think I ever looked at the items as exclusives, so much as I did...wow I want one....lol!
