New hauls from the vintage toy show I went to yesterday:

- 1960's rubber Herman Munster bootleg from Spain
- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Phone Booth
- Schleich Statler & Waldorf PVCs.

Spent $30 for all of it which is really damn good. the Munster bootlegs usually sell for $20-30, the Phone Booth usually sells for $50-70 and the PVCs usually sell for $10-15 each. I brought a ton of money to the show but while there was probably every vintage toy you could imagine, none of it was on my immediate Want List.

The Phone Booth was MIB and the best part of old MIB toys is...

Mini Toy Catalogs!!!

Had no idea there were Bill & Ted toys.

I knew they existed but never really pursued them even though I've always loved the films and cartoon. On Saturday night I was breaking down my DVD rack and came across the DVD boxset. First thought in my head was "I should look for the toys at the show". Right before I was leaving the show my eyes caught this on a dealers table. :lol

I have a bunch of those old Kenner product guides if anyone in interested in trading vintage toy goodness for them. :duff

I also have a few of the Toys R Us Christmas Wishbook inserts somewhere--like 1985-1990.

And the Bill and Ted set is great. Love the late 80's Kenner stuff. Police Academy too. Tthat phone was a steal BTW.

You SOB, yeah this guy's got the goods fellas. :chew

this made me lol. thanks.

Man motu really nailed it being able to capture the imagination with the amazing artwork back in the day, no wonder im such a fantasy geek now ;) that box was/is pure awesomness!

definitely the best toy box art of the 80's, maybe the best of all time???

Got mine at Woolworth's and man they were behind a glass, so I would go and just look at which one I would beg for next. Mom used to get me one a week if I was good. God bless her. She tried.

i only had a few of these figures as a kid, but i loved setting up the string mechanism and making the figures fly across my room.

I had the Crystar Dragon figure as a kid; that "flew" along on a string. A very fun toy until he got dropped on the floor and his wings snapped off :monkey2

Sky Commanders were great, I had quite a few as they hit the clearance shelves pretty often. Of course I don't have them anymore but I do have some of the figures for some reason.

secret wars are one of my favorite old lines as well, i will never forget picking out my iron man at good ol kmart as a kid.
