So, for those who've been in the market for an EV-9D9, how universal is the left arm issue? There are attached left arms, right? It seems like every instance of this figure that I've seen for sale lists it as "left arm comes off, stays attached when put in place, displays great." Can anyone shed some light?

Both arms have a tendency to break... but the left is much more common. I found one that wasn't damaged, but it took quite awhile.

There was a brief discussion about EV-9D9 within the last couple of weeks... but in brief its very common, but still possible to find one that's not broken.

EDIT: The discussion strarts with post #1549; which ironically enough is one from me responding to you about a different figure :lol

:lol Hell, I was part of the conversation! :lol I guess I just took the part about the legs and forgot what Nick said about 50% of the arms being broke. :dunno

Anyway, thanks J. I just happened to be looking and everything I saw was broke but asking prices were still between 80-100. :lol

Not really Jim. You need 45 figures, which isn't too bad, and many of those can be found dirt cheap. Just start picking up some of the inexpensive ones and you'll be down to 20 or so in no time. I had ten nice figures in February and now I have a little over 40, and only one of those cost me over 20 bucks.

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything directly about you being a spaz... but you figured it out on your own :lol

I got a pretty good deal on mine, but it was a BIN and in photos the legs looked pretty warped. But once I straightened the legs (which does not damage them in anyway) my figure was good to go. I think I paid around $60-$70 shipped.

:lol Yeah, I'm always willing to own up to my brain farts.... Though, I must admit, this one is particularly outstanding.:lecture

So out of curiosity, how do the arms break? Is it that the left arm joints tend to get stuck, so when people have tried to force them they just break or was it just a factory issue?

You think ebay is the best route ?

Be careful with eBay, lots of scumbags but there are deals to be had. I'd always try to pick up the BIG ones in person (toy shows, SDCC, etc.) if you can help it. But yeah, to Flo you listen to! Yesss. Good luck! :duff

I think Rebel Scum might be the best route... I bet you snag quite a few from your thread there alone... They seem to work pretty well. I've just been scouring RS and eBay for the most part. I've been really happy with most of what I've gotten so far.

I'm a mod now... do you want me to infract him? I think I can do it outside of my area (customs) :huh

You have no power here Joesph. You are a simple commoner when outside of your own area...:nana: (BTW, I'm proud to be infractionless in my time here :lecture)

So I picked up a Boba Fett and Endor Leia in the past two days. The Leia looks especially minty. :yess: I never owned that figure as a kid so I'm looking forward to getting it.

I'm gonna have to take a look at that... I'm not looking forward to tracking down an unbroken one at all! :(
