It's funny, I used to go to concerts and see vinyl at the merch booth all the time but always passed on it. The past 2 shows I've been to that I wanted to pick some up have had nothing.

Man, I finally go to a good vinyl store and my weak will to resist gives in. I picked up Alaska by Between the Buried and Me for better than online prices. The steal of the day however was a nrmt promotional copy of the original TRON soundtrack for $20!

Which album? I have The Swing, Listen Like Thieves and Kick. I think after that we made the switch to CDs.

I'm surprised at how vinyl prices have gone up! I remember a few years ago walking through antique stores and flea markets and seeing records for 50¢-$1. They practically couldn't give them away. Now they're $10-$20!

Man, am I glad I held on to my records, otherwise I'd have to end up paying twice to three times what I had originally got them for! My collection is in another state in my mother's house so I don't really have access to them. I've been getting a few current ones lately but I thought it would be nice to get dupes of some of my favorites. Never mind that now! I'll just wait til I visit mom again and have my records shipped back!

Nice pick up with Alaska. I remember buying the Silent Circus when it came out. Which is still my favorite of theirs but I think Alaska is probably their best. Colors get really high praise but I think Alaska beats it.

Alaska is the album that got me into them so it will always hold the top spot in my heart. I'm planning to get all the albums on vinyl eventually even though I already have them on CD.
