I recently got Scott Pilgrim for my birthday from my best friend. AND I went ahead and picked up a Nora Jones album.

Can't wait for record store day on Saturday so I can grab some good stuff.

I actually have the MoS vinyl. :lol

Speaking of which, I went ahead and got the Dark Knight Rises vinyl at the same time.

Both I actually got from gohastings.com

They had the better price and their shipping is only $.99 an album ! Can't beat that !

So if you are looking for something, give them a shot for comparison.

Yeah but how "well" do they ship them? They're not exactly known for their packing skills.

Guess we will find out.

Most use standard Vinyl shipping boxes. Not much else. Every one I have purchased from anywhere has come in the standard box. Have yet to receive a damaged one. If someone is going to throw or step on it... it's going to break regardless.

Got this one in yesterday. It's nice that they are numbered.

It is really nice with Orange Vinyl like this:

That Empire Records looks nice! Lot's of good 90s music on there.

I've actually bought a few albums from gohastings. I've never had a problem with them as far as shipping.

I have had a problem with Waxwork Records. The last two albums I bought from them (Rosemary's Baby and Day of the Dead) arrived damaged. These are heavy deluxe albums, and they use the cheapest shippers available. And then it took forever to get replacements. I'll never order directly from them again.

Nice! Are you looking for anything in particular?

I wonder what my SIL is going to do with my brother's album collection. He has so many. He collected ****/controversial covers as well.

I want to get the new Lana Del Rey album on vinyl. She's such a fantastic singer. Love her style as well. Would go nicely with my newly added LORDE album and the Metric LPs I plan on getting.

And just to change things up and make it interesting, I plan on getting Peter Gabriel and ELO.

If anyone scores extras of the following at Record Store Day please consider me.

COLDPLAY 7"
Max Steiner King Kong theme 7"
Fleetwood Mac 7"

Thanks.

I wish I had known sooner... I saw the Fleetwood Mac and Coldplay. I didn't see the King Kong 7".

It's ok bro. I appreciate it. I thought I wild get the west coasters before they went out.

Ah, well if you're ever looking for something vinyl related, let me know. I'm good at hunting stuff down.

Btw, someone just paid $83 on eBay for the Ghostbusters disc! :lol

Man, I can't keep up with all this stuff. My Hot Toys, SideShow, game worn NHL jerseys, and limited edition pressings on Record Day. Also have a dog, two cats, and my own house... and I am a student. Oh and I love traveling. I was in the Caribbean this past January. I need more money. lol

Does anyone here buy the old used stuff or just new? I find you can get some really good original pressings for dirt cheap. My original MJ Bad album, mint record and sleeve, cover... 3 bucks marked down from 10... new pressing of the same sleeve and cover... 30 USD. Love it! Got a ton of vintage stuff.

I noticed a few things that were cheaper than what was listed online. I still ended up spending a pile of money. I did buy the Peanuts record player... it was $30 cheaper than I expected. And it's cool!

Yea. I noticed things were more than reported. Especially if the stock was less than expected.

For example my store only got 2 Ghostbusters.
