I am really impressed with all of SS Ariel Olivetti inspired Comiquettes. IMO they are some of the best work SS has ever done. In fact I think two of the three are SS best period. With one of them a very close third best ever. i rank them like this.


1. Punisher - I voted for this guy because he is really THE Punisher to own and will probably remain the best Punisher statue for a very long time. The sculpt is really amazing. The clothing looks real. Everything about this statue says badass. There is really nothing to complain about. It is a Perfect statue in every way. Scupt, paint, and pose! I love that he is on steroids and the Skull on his chest is PERFECT!!! The Punisher is not my fav Marvel character but he is IMO the best looking statue i own. I was a fool and sold mine and had to get him again less then three weeks later. Thats how great he is.

2. Spider-man - Much like the Punisher this is the Spidey to own. He will probably win this poll by a landslide and I would find it hard to argue. Only reason Punisher wins this for me is that the punisher is so much more detailed with veins, pores, and folds in the clothing. Spidey is a perfect scuplt but Spidey's look does not call for all the same things make the Punisher stand out for me. But there is nothing to complain about here. Pose, paint, and Sculpt are all perfect. However with Spidey being so popular I could see another great Spidey sculpt down the road unlike the Punisher. But it will have be be something truly special to even come close to this one. Spidey is not even close to my fav. marvel character but this is close to being SS best ever.

3. HULK - If this had a better paint job and yes longer hair this would have been number one and SS best statue by far. I love the dynamic pose and the power that you feel in this piece. I am just not in love with the faded green. I mentioned the hair. I actually like the hair but longer hair would have been more dynamic and closer to the Hulk I grew up on. Still a great sculpt with great detail. The PF Hulk is still the Hulk to have - even though I like this one better - But the better paint and size help the PF win the battle

4. Venom - This is another winner and I can see it getting votes. I have never seen this one or Carnage in person. Venom looks great and the detail is top notch. I am not in love with how the JAW looks on this one. Just something is off but I don't know what.

5. Carnage - The best Carnage out there but for me that is not saying much. This statue does nothing for me. I don't really like the pose. The Sculpt is good and the paint looks great but overall this is the weakest of the Olivetti pieces IMO

Venom wins this one for me also. All the other ones are wicked as well. Except Hulk I really didn't care for that interpretation.

4&5 - Can't stand either one, both have horrible poses and neither are the best renditions of the characters. Unlike the others, the symbiotes don't match their artwork.

I think Venom is the best executed. I really like the dynamic pose they went with for Hulk, but Olivetti's artistic choices ended up holding the statue back. I don't like the muted skin color or the weird hair style.

Blah, this is one poll I have put my foot down. Bad poll. Its all relative to each individula taste. And I mean Spiderman, Venom, Carnage all belong to Spiderman's arena. So its like Spiderman/villians fans vs Hulk fans or Punisher fans. Would be fair is we have Abomination, Rhino, and some X-Men in the mix. I like Olivetti but so far, SSC didn't make the rest yet.

Nobody said this was scientific Just fun! Of course it's all relative. All opinion posts are.

I for one did not expect to see Venom take such a comanding early lead. It's a great piece and I have to assume Spidey fans are voting for it but i can't believe they are voting for this above Spidey himself.

Well I'm a much bigger Hulk fan, but I picked Venom cause I think its better than the Hulk com. So

I have an Ex. of each of these, and love them all, although I have at least one criticism for each.

The Punisher sculpt is perfect to me (my vote for the best) and is the best representation of him I have ever seen in a statue, for all of the reasons mentioned previously. My only complaint was being 1/5 instead of 1/4 to go with the bulk of my other SS pieces.

Spider-Man, while an awesome piece, is lacking a nose, and I felt his head was slightly out of proportion (too large.)

Venom is an outstanding piece, in most respects. I do wish he weren't crouching quite so much as I think some of the bulk and detail is lost in his pose.

I think the Carnage piece is fantastic, and loved it the first time I saw it. Again, my only criticism is in the pose. I think having his front arm wrapped so tightly around his chest takes away some of the potential detail and mass of the sculpt.

Pose and musculature-wise, I prefer the Hulk Com. over the PF any day (yes, I have also owned three greens and a gray.) Like many others, though, I would have preferred slightly longer hair and a deeper green, along the lines of the PF.

Overall, these pieces are five of my favorites, which feels odd to say since I only buy pieces I love, despite the Hulk and Punisher being smaller than I would have liked. I am definitiely interested in seeing what comes out next in that line.

except of the punisher i own them all and i must say that venom is my favorite followed by spidey ,carnage and hulk

i was looking for a punisher too but since he's 1:5 scale and became too expensive i'll probably pass on him

Easily the punisher, others dont compare and i have 4/5.

1. Venom: awesome pose, detailing is top notch, tongue and mouth texturing is awesome, great statue.
2. Spiderman: dynamic pose, the base is fantastic but bad paintjob
3. Carnage: huge, great presence, love the pose and tentacles, paint and shading is superb
4. Punisher: too small, slightly smaller than 1/4 scale, but nice sculpt
5. Hulk: small 1/5 scale, does not fit with other Olivetti statues or PFs, green too light, tiny head and buzz cut gets him down here
