They went idealized for sure, but I don't think there's haircurlers for 1/6th. :lol

Of course there are. Like it or not, real hair is the future of this hobby. As with painting or sculpting, most people are piss poor at it and like paint, sculpt or tailoring, will vary in quality from the manufacturer. Of course sculpted will give the most consistent results right out of the box.

The future? Didn't you see pubes Ripley that HT flushed?

It will have it's market mostly in Phicen. There's too much of a margin for error of opening a root hair figure up and the hair is a complete mess. HT only bothers with it very few and far between, mostly Black Widow.

In my opinion the art figures version is far more screen accurate than vts, in pretty much every aspect right down to the lawgiver. I only went for vts because it was a good interpretation, looked less awkward standing in the promo photos (even the helmet sits nicely) and wouldnt need a head sculpt change.
I know the wrong lighting and angle can make a good hot toys sculpt look bad but that is going to need some serious work on the hair even if the sculpt and paint turns out ok..
But please feel free to post more pictures of your anderson, not enough people are sharing what that figure can do!

Quick edit on paint to adjust the hair and some lighting/saturation

i still think the sculpt has changed, the eyes are much smaller

Thanks! and glad to know that I'm not the only one thinking the comparison between the two is relevant! Also I believe you're right in relation to screen accuracy, bearing in mind that these aren't good pictures. We'll see what she can do when we get pictures of her posed and standing.

The future?

Yup, you didn't see it at all years ago, now becoming more and more common. That it is even being worked on and considered by multiple companies is the pudding proof. Just looks back in this forum a few years ago at the naysayers who swore up and down there would never be a good, real fur Chewbacca released, that only a hand full of customizers could ever make it look right, etc. The realism and detail will advance and hairwork will be part of it.

:lol did you honestly expect Chewy to be plastic?

It's used where it can be executed properly more or less, at least with HT. It is not, going to be a constant norm. Not ever.

I see third party companies doing it mostly, as I stated earlier.

Go back and look, many were calling for sculpted only Chewy saying it was the only way he could look right out of the box or that he'd be too expensive to produce, that he couldn't look consistent from a factory, it's all there in the threads.
I never said every figure will have it, just more and more as time goes on and techniques are refined and improved. The customs community is pushing it forward as they did in the past with many other advances that are now commonplace. The writing is on the wall.

Still better than AF's cartoonish transvestite.

Also VTS' lawgiwer has screen accurate Glock 17 grip.
I have no idea why AF went with the one from MP7 instead.

. . .

No regrets.

Promos were cool, but this looks like crap with these current pics.

Thank you for the comparisons, are there any more photographs showing more of the differences please ?

This is looking less and less promising. Hair still needs a significant trim on the outer layers to get more of the bob shape from the movie. And bangs also need to be cut in as well.

I really wanted an Anderson but I'm not sure I like either option really.
