Oh, I looked it up and it was bad. You are an evil, evil man bringing those to my attention forestlite. The good news for me is that since WDW is my haunting grounds that's the one I'm a bit more interested in (I think, DL is tempting since its the original) so there aren't as many pieces so it'd be easier to get them slowly. I know I'd love to have Cinderella's castle and the hub with the partner's statue to set in front of it...

LOL...sorry if I tempted you! Isn't collecting a love/hate relationship? I love the pieces I have but winch everytime I add up the costs. The Cinderella castle is impressive...and wait until you see it lit up at night! The effects are very magical and impressive. Did you see the Electrical Light Parade pieces that you can have parading down main street?

Im glad I havnt seen pics of the Walt Disney World one. I know that if I did I would be wanting it. :lol

Wow, those pieces are amazing. I think I may have seen a bunch at a store in Downtown Disney last month. I didn't think that my credit card could take the pain. Oh well, maybe when I win Power Ball.

That is a great site Darth Waller! Believe it or not (as if I don't have enough stuff), I also got hooked into collecting a Disneyland set put out in Japan by Deagostini. Basically there are 100 magazines called "My Disneyland" and each issue comes in a box with a piece/part of Disneyland. While not as detailed as the Olszewski collection, this collection comprises the entire park, so you have all four major lands, main street, the railroad, etc. This one too lights up. I have 20 more issues to go before completing the set. I am hoping they don't decide to follow up with a Tokyo Disneysea or Walt Disney World series.

Good call Aerosmith. Very good call.

Im very tempted to check it out, but I collect to much Disney stuff as it is. I don't need to start another series. As it is the line's I collect are

Walt Disney Classics Collection
Vinylmation
Pins(and Buttons)
Medicom VCD's

Add to that the statues coming up from Electric Tiki and the Sideshow Premium Formats.

Plus that's not counting the various one off statues and toys I buy. :lol

Wow, six feet, that's huge. I haven't got the slightest idea where I would put that...but I want it anyway.

Wow, another person who is doing the Japanese My Disneyland series. I thought I was the only one! I was actually in Tokyo when I saw the first and second "magazines" in a newstand. I bought them as a souvenir of the trip not thinking I would ever see them again. Then about a year later, an Olszewski Main Street collector let me know of a company that imports them into the US so I got the back issues for the ones I didn't have and then started a subscription for the new issues. Right now I am up to about #80. The last two I got were wood panels from the outside perimeter base. It is great getting these every week in the mail. Like you, I wonder if they will start another series after this one. I imagine they would do Tokyo Disneyland next. By the way, I've been in Tokyo 3 times and each time I went to Tokyo Disneyland and the last 2 trips I've gone to Tokyo DisneySea. For those who love Disney theme parks, there is none more spectacular than DisneySea.

Hey there! I think it was me you talked to in the Yahoo Olszewski group forum! Was it the Canadian bookstore you were ordering your magazines from? I am pretty sure we did converse as Deagostini Disneyland collectors are rarer than hen's teeth! The last time we talked I was getting ready to head out to Tokyo to visit the parks. Have you stayed at the new Tokyo Disneyland Hotel? Very pricey and beautiful, but I think I prefer the Mira Costa and Ambassador better (more intimate and less intimidating)...

Here is a photo of my Olszewski Main Street. It measures 6 feet by 3 feet. I have it on top of a table.

Cool! That base is incredible! What are you going to do when Olszewski issues the Fantasyland platform? I may have to move into the garage to make room in the house...LOL!
