It's a great attraction but it does not justify the wait time. We even went there for the Fastpass right after rope drop and there was a line for the Fastpass itself...WOW!

My favorite rides are:
Epcot - Soarin'
Magic Kingdom - Space Mountain
Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest
Hollywood Studios - Tower of Terror

Yeah, you pretty much have to be there at rope drop to go on it. I think it is more because there is not alot to do there for kids ride wise. And it is even worse with Star Tours closed down. Basically the Great Movie Ride is it.

Soarin' is an amazing ride. I'm still amazed everytime I go on it.

lol yah, was still tired. She said yes...haha.

Same boat as YoNoSe regarding the parks. I love Disney but at first I could care less about the parks. My fiance pretty much created touring plans for us and everything went pretty smoothly. The longest we waited for a ride was 10 minutes. Speaking of rides and waiting...we rode on the overly hyped Toy Story Mania and we were both disappointed. I wouldn't even consider it a ride, sure you ride on a little 2 seater but all you are doing is moving from 1 screen to another to play carnival games. That ride is not as bad as the Stich ride over at Tomorrowland. Anyone rode these 2 rides before?

Totally the same boat, my wife is a WDW archeologist and basically planned it so that we rode everything with time to spare on my first trip.

Agree about TSM, we have the Wii game and I actually like it better than the ride. The real shame is that you don't get to see the animatronic Mr. Potato Head if you use Fast Pass. Which means I will NEVER see him. :lol

I didn't hate Stitch's Great Escape but my wife is not a fan. I haven't even thought about it since the first time I did it.

Oh, and my favorites (as of this moment...it's really hard for me to choose)

MK - Haunted Mansion (possibly tied with Splash Mountain and Pirates - I like immersive rides)
EPCOT - Test Track
AK - Dinosaur. I love Everest but that Yeti hasn't worked properly since my first trip and Dinosaur is teeming with animatronics that want to kill you.
Studios - ToT. Used to be Star Tours but that is going to be a different animal soon.

Meh, Stitch!!!!!! The only good thing about that ride is the lack of a wait line. I would have been pissed if I had to wait just for him or lack of him jump and spit on me, haha.

You're right, Dinosaur was pretty awesome actually. The atmosphere was great I'll give it that. Having the guy from CSI was also a nice touch haha.

TSM isn't too bad if you get there immediately after rope drop. It's more or less walk on about that time.

Congratulations on the engagement. :clap :clap :clap

My wife and I got married at WDW and spent two weeks there for our honeymoon 15 years ago. And our next WDW trip is less than a month away, I cannot wait. :impatient::impatient::impatient:

I would LOVE to stay at the Wilderness Lodge! Maybe after the kids are grown and out of the house... maybe. The Contemporary would be great one day too... it's so iconic. But for this next trip is Pop Century or bust! Hopefully we will get a room next to Baloo and Mowgli.... (Jungle Book was my very first movie I saw when it premiered in '67)

We went to WDW last year and stayed at the Contemporary. It's a great place to stay and close enough to walk to Magic Kingdom. Being able to jump on the monorail for Epcot is great, too.

We visited the Contemporary Resort during our stay. We ate at California Grill for dinner. The food was excellent!

Yeah, the first meal we have scheduled when we arrive is in the Contemporary. We are arriving late on 12/11 and meeting my wife's friend for dinner. I forgot exactly where.... my wife has made ALL of the arrangements and reservations for the trip.

Don't sweat the one that got away. She's not the droids you're looking for.

That quote might make me look at droids very differently now.

I'm in the home stretch now... my WDW vacation begins this Saturday!!! :clap :clap :clap

Take lots of pics and post them! I'm not going until the end of next year!

Love the dancing bananas!!!!

Yeah, the excitement here is mounting... it's getting harder to concentrate at work. This weekend I started "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" 10 mins late (I'm a theater manager/projectionist)
because I was cruising through some WDW planner guides. :slap :slap :slap

And I will take TONS of pictures... but they won't hold a candle to what Coheteboy posts here I can tell you that.

And it's great that you are going during the 40th Anniversary celebration at WDW. As much as I go to the parks, I always seem to miss the BIG anniversary celebrations. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

Though I am glad I missed the 25th Anniversary of WDW when they decorated the castle to look like that horrid cake. Probably looked better on the drawing boards.

Congrats! I'm probably going to be there on Saturday evening enjoying a final day at the park before the Holiday blackout. You'll have a blast, the weather is wonderful (albeit a bit cold at night)!

I can't wait for the 40th anniversary stuff. They've already got some nice looking apparel out. And the vinylmations are pretty cool too.

Yeah I saw some of the planned designs posted on the Disney Parks Blog. It all has a very cool retro '70s feel. I might pick up some pieces on eBay next year. If I'm not completely broke from this trip!

And it looks like there is great attraction poster T-shirts floating around Disneyland as well. Some VERY cool stuff out there.

Lucky!! We wanted to go to pick up the new ticket booklet vinylmation that's coming out on Saturday the 10th =(

Well, we have finally started packing officially for our WDW trip. There will be no sleep tonight, we have to arrive at the airport at nearly 4:00 which is less than 14 hours away. I can always sleep on the plane, right?

Besides, I'm too excited to sleep... I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!! :yess::yess::yess:

... and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. :clap :clap :clap
