Hi,

I recently purchased a Predator 2 BD version and I think its great!

However, I noticed some details are missing particularly the hair on the face and head!

I've taken a picture of Predator 2 movie HD that shows these facial hairs quite clearly.



I know that the Elder has these but I want to know if there is any way I can add these to the figure.

You comments \ suggestions for this kind of mod?

maybe you could look to get ahold of some loose avp elder quills, that you can paint black and glue on to your p2 figure.

Do they come off or do they need to be cut off?

Interesting suggestion. I'm looking on ebay for a AVP elder head...no luck.

Any ideaas about how to attach them. I'd hate to use glue because I can foresee excess come out under each quill.

That's what I would do man, get some loose AVP elder ones, and trim them the size you want, and glue them in.

The quills come on an inividual tree. You have to cut them off of the tree, and put them on to the Predator's head. They can go on either Predator. They are not attatched to the Elder's head. and for a tutorial on how to put the quills on, got to youtube.com and search for user Pitu23. He will have a tutorial on how to apply them to a head.

they come loose with a new avp elder figure and you need to glue them on, so I would say look for a new packet.

This is a great idea! I still have maybe 8-10 quills left from my AVP elder. I think I'll paint them and give this a try. I think I'll cut them down and make small quills.

You are correct my friend, it wont stay on. That's why everybody should send me their quills so I can customize my Wolf Predator. The quills for him go on the side.

I think that is probably the main reason why Hot toys did not give the masked preds quills.

I don't think I can sacrifice my mask for the quills.

Are the AVP Elder quills sufficiently flexible to allow the mask to go on?

I really think that they should have made soft quills, like the new dreads for the Predator faces. That way the helms would still fit nicely.

the avp elder has a mask but he is not meant to wear it
his quills are like spines not flexible at all!

AVP Elder, and P2 Elder didn't have helms to begin with, so that's why they didn't have any. Well AVP did, but his isn't wearable.

The quills aren't flexible enought for the bio to go on.

You might want to try a brush. I know that you migh be able to tper them, and if not, they're stil soft enought to allow the bio to be put on.

Great IDEA!!!

Only thing is the brushes I know of the bristles are not flexible enough. I reckon they would be just as flexible as the AVP quills.

Perhaps fine bristles but I don't think I'll be able to taper them enough.

I'll give this a try !!!

Hell, I doubt you'll need to taer them at all. Also, you could try Sculpey Bake n' bend or something like that. I've heard that it's flexible after baking, and that you could taper it before baking man. Now, have fun customizing.
