In all seriousness though, when I'm in similar predicaments like you, I choose the higher end piece first because I figure its easier to acquire $200/figure over time than fork over an $800 lump sum on one large piece. That's how I look at it anyway...

COOL!! :clap
Yes thats a good answer!!! GET BOTH!

Get both. :)

One way I am doing it is to layby the Bust through a vendor that will do it. And I will pick up each Hot Toy as it comes in.
I always say if you want something and don't end up getting it - you will regret it later and then pay more on the secondary market.

Good Luck

P.S. Nice set up jstep13. Very impressive.

Maybe its time to pose a few HT next to the bust! Im sorry, HT and the customs are so darn nice, nothing exactly like them, but when you got a collection of full size stuff and people come over to see everything their eyes cant help but be drawn to the big stuff! Now if I had a collection of HT and custom 1/6, thats something else, but when you got 1/4 and 1:2 and 1:1 statues, there is just no comparison :lecture

:lecture:lecture

Couldn't agree more. Go for the WM bust.

Same situation with me but I'm after the 501st bust instead.
I imagine it would look fantastic but I can't help but think of all the figures I'd be missing out on.

When I started collecting 1:1 I realized all the smaller things are just not as impressive as a life-size item. When people come visiting my room they always look at the 1:1 helmets and busts and rarely they realize there are smaller figures there.

Unfortunately there's no easy way to fix ur life if its meaning turned into "collect and store the polystone" :dunno

So I guess I'm supposed to make my action figures fight together or something like that then :lol ...man, some people can't take a joke. My life is perfect, but thanks for the concern.

PS: If you cared to even look at my collection link, you'd see that I have plenty of dollies.

Thank you!

Jstep, where did you get the shelving unit for all the 1:1's?

It's the IKEA Besta unit. It's probably the most popular and "inexpensive" display (depending how frugal you are about upgrades) you can get.

The cons are they aren't terribly deep (so there are some statues and busts that won't fit) and they cannot adjust horizontally so if you have something wide, you are SOL. But it's worked out fairly okay for me so far...

I voted for the 5 Hot Toys figures, but after seeing pictures of the War Machine bust, I'm not so sure that I'd want to keep that vote. The bust looks simply Amazing.

Man, we got all sorts of issues! :)
I love my big gun, but I also love to play with my toys too!

Hey, people can do whatever they want. I was just pointing out to him that I have some too, so it wasn't a slag against figures. But he took it that way.
