Not love at first sight....the first SSC figures I saw were the Buffy & Gentlemen 12 inch figures. I remember seeing an evil Ash and wanting the regular Ash from Army of Darkness but my local store never had him in and this was before I became an ebayer or did any online shopping. I looked at the Buffy figure but for some reason never purchased it. I forgot about Sideshow as a company from then on....

....until they released their X-Files figures. X-Files was the first show I ever got hooked on and I remember being very disappointed by the the Barbies that were released in '98 for the movie. I'd wanted 12 inch figures of Mulder & Scully, so when I saw SSC's I bought them pretty quickly. Then I discovered their Buffy, human Angel & human Spike figures and couldn't pass those up because I've been a Buffy fan from day one.

Being a BIG Bruce Campbell fan, my first official Sideshow purchase was the Army of Darkness line. I have al three of them. It was the start of something big.

Yeah, Bruce Campbell does indeed rock! And that S-Mart Ash is such a good rendition of the famous b-movie actor... Did you read the newest book he wrote? "How to make Love....The Bruce Campbell Way"...... Too funny.

He's probably my favorite actor and one of the nicest guys around.

I worked at a comic book store back when Sideshow was still using Diamond as a distributor. Our store was part of a chain, but we handled the direct orders for Bowen and Sideshow, and I started to pick up the universal monsters. I think I started with Nosferatu, but after BTVS, Spinal Tap, Python, Uni Monsters, Modern Horror, SSW LOTR, and now the upcoming SS LOTR and Star Wars, put a fork in me. Sideshow has easily become my favorite company, with such an amazing level of quality, and their customer service has been number one ever since back in the day!

I even remember the agony of learning that Sideshow was pulling away from Diamond and comic retailers, and losing my discount on their products...I think I paid $60 for the Buffy/Gentleman Set!
