yeah I goofed off with the switch with no result. Sigh... I guess I have to go out and buy a motor. Thanks for the help.
I would try and see if you can replace switch first. Might be a cheap test to see if you need a motor. Or if you have a volt meter see if you see any kind of voltage change when you activate /deactivate the switch.
Thanks for the input. We took the motor, pump and switch out this morning and we'll test them.
Maybe the switch died...it's pretty common, and they are really inexpensive to replace. I'd look at that as a possibility before you go and dish out a crazy amount for a new motor.
