I did my Jedi Luke. It makes the Cloak look so much better.

Here are some pics in front of my Jabba set up. https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15314&page=160

Thanks for that, I have been wanting to do something with my Jedi Luke, he's too poofy, in fact there have been times I have wanted to make the cloak into a parachute. I have not done that, but in the old days we would make cloth parachutes for GI Joes and see if they would float down. Never did, but it is mighty tempting with Jedi Luke.

Great results. I may have to try that.

Also, Maul is a second stringer!

Its definitely night and day:

I can't believe I waited so long to try this. Just make sure that if you've never done the water treatment before it is extremely important to keep leather goods (like Obi-Wan's belt) off of any fabric until the fabric dries. You don't want the belt to bleed into the tunic.

And yes, Maul could be considered a second stringer but he's still an icon of the PT so he makes the cut. :D There are so many good main characters that I'll probably only own a select few second or third stringers.

EDIT: And I didn't increase the height of Anakin, Maul is just short and the crouch he's in emphasizes it further.

Yes, I think someone did. There are pictures of it too. Somewhere here on the board... Sorry, that was not a big help. Try a search on Bib Fortuna.

I did the search and couldn't find a thing. If anyone has before/after pics of Bib please post them here.

Thanks

Did a search too, thought it was Wor-Gar that did a water treatment on Bib, but couldn't find it in the Bib image thread.

Granted the water treatment does help, but those pics don't really help show off the difference, the before pictures look like the most unfutzed Obi-Wan could possibly be, you can tuck and play with his clothes dry and get better looking than that without water treatment.

On the contrary, the before pictures *are* of a "futzed" Obi-Wan. I sent DarkArtist81 the nude body to be repainted then when it returned I did my best to tighten up his tunics and pants but no dice. That's really how puffy he looked after my best efforts to futz with him dry. I'm not saying other people here couldn't have made him look better without water but in my case I certainly needed it.

Well I am certainly surprised and baffled at how a futzed outfit could puff like that, but ultimately, it's about getting it how you want so glad you found success with a little H20.

Funny, my Obi looked more like the water treated one right out of the box. I guess some have more poof problems than others. The difference is huge and it looks alot better after the water treatment. I might have to try that with my Plo Koon I have his robe on him and it looks like he's bundled up and ready to fight on Hoth.

Try removing the inner and outer tunics first and just keep the longsleeved t-shirt with the double ring neck collar and the robe. Helps a lot with the puffiness. I also squirted mine with water after that and now he looks like the proto picture on the box cover. :chew

Yeah, water really helps IMO.... Just hangs more naturally. I'm not a fan of the method that RS posted though, but to each his own. Techniques are the creation of man and therefore.... flawed. Even mine. :lol

Remember, if you don't want to water down your figure it also helps a lot if you remove all the clothes when you first get it and then put them back on while fixing it the way you want to. For me it makes them look half as good as doing the water treatment.

I'm with you there. I just got an Obi and a Luke today, you don't really need to wet the clothes down if you are good at "redressing" the figures. I'll try to photograph mine tomorrow. It's all in being meticulous with the details as you redress them.

I just FINALLY redressed Plo quickly. I need to redo the pants by putting the clear rubber bands around the legs to keep them taught while I slide the boots back on, however if you redress him and remove the outer tunic, tabbards, belt, and inner tunic... not bulky at all and looks very close to Episode I Plo. Only water treatment Ill do is on the robe so that the wrinkles come out and it hangs a little better.
