Doesn't happen often in Seattle - but it looks like this time the snow may stay awhile. Unfortunately that also means roads of sheer ice....I live at the bottom of a hill and have been watching the cars slide down. :lol Silly drivers. At least this year, my truck is parked in back so it won't be a sitting target for crazy drivers like it was a few year ago.

We got rain in Wisconsin. It's melting away all our beautiful snow. :monkey2

Glad I got my sledding and snowball fights in yesterday. :banana

Here's a photo I took from my back porch yesterday here in NY. This is pretty normal for us.

I think you got a little more than we did up here in Edmonds. Its not looking too bad right now but I haven't ventured out yet.

I live in West Seattle and we got 2-3 inches. Not a lot.....but it's the icy roads and those damn hills that will get ya. :lol

Thanks, Jen. :duff

We actually have a large park as our backyard. It was one of the selling points of the house. You can see some of the other houses along the opposite ridge.

Here's a photo I took at night while it was snowing. That's a waterfall over to the left. I'm currently looking for a new camera just so I can take better photos of the area.

Nice shots Batty - great to live so close to a park like that.

It looks like we have about the same amount of snow here in Denver that you have in New York. I woke up this morning to a few inches covering everything.

Jen - People must be freaking out in Seattle over the snow. I moved to Denver from Portland, OR and when I was living there people wouldn't know what to do at the slightest hint of flurries - shear chaos in the streets. I know snow is pretty rare there outside of the mountains and eastern plains.

People here don't even know how to drive in the rain so you can imagine how bad people are in the snow.

It is supposed to snow here in Vegas tomorrow as low as 2000 ft.

:horror:horror:horror:horror:horror

Yeah...it's bad. :lol :lol A Metro bus tried to make it up the hill I live on and it got stuck about 1/3 of the way up.....a big tow truck came to move it and a car slid down and ran into the tow truck right in front of my building. I'm so glad I parked in the back. :lol There's hardly any snow on the road - but it's covered in ice.

I live in Newfoundland being the most eastern (island) province in Canada (and in all North America) and our snowfall amount is crazy...here is a pic a couple years ago out the back porch door at our old house...and of course we had to make a cool picture effect out of it :D
