We've done it folks! In a mere week, the Sideshow populace have risen to the occasion and helped us 'On our way to 10k' in record time! We have to be honest, we didn't expect this kind of response, and our eyes are pretty well crossed as a result! We will be posting the 10,000 comment winner AFTER the Qui-Gon Jinn pre-order - at approximately Noon PST.

Wonder who the lucky winner is? I posted a comment or two, even though I have all of these exclusives ordered. Free never hurts, right?

You disagree with "free never hurts"? I would rather get these guys for free than pay over $300 any day!

It's just a matter of perspective Tom. The shipping is a killer for freeby 12 inch figs. These have the benefit of being exclusive, but reg figs for free from Sideshow, cost more than from my dealer. The dealer buys a container load and spreads the shipping costs over all the items. Shipping individual items hurts us over the water, even if they are free.

Shipping sucks. Nothing to be done about it, but it feels better saying it.

Dang! I keep forgetting about you guys overseas! I admit that I am spoiled living so close to SS HQ. It hurts to see people paying as much in fees and shipping as they spent on the figure. I guess "free" isn't always free. Maybe they will open a warehouse down under!

I was posting like mad around the time of the announcement. Of course the counter still said something like 9930 so who knows when we actually reached 10K. I'd be so stoked if it were me.

Yes I have had that dream also, and of running it or some such. Really the market isn't there to support it, locally at least. Maybe with imports to Asia.

Here we have shops opening and closing after 6 months, or only opening for a day or two a week. One collectible shop nearby is in danger of closing because it sells replica swords and the like. Someone has to grandstand their public spirit, and play for power, calling them dangerous weapons, citing the ease of which the owner seemingly bypasses public safety. To me it is like a small haven. 1:1 replicas of the Alien. I got to see the Predator bust there, and it's marvellous drool, that isnt captured so well in pictures. They dont sell many 1/6 figures, but they have a variety of helms etc. They struggle along as we all do, no matter how fine they make it appear.

You don't have to feel danged in anyway. You there, being the biggest market make it possible for us to get any of these items at all. Your verasity feeds lesser markets, like ours. It is worse somewhere else, than it is here, no worries about that. You just can't beat Sideshow. They have it sussed. All round champions, from where I stand. It's feels good to say the shipping sucks, and know there isn't going to be a discussion or argument, and so we are united. Sideshow dont stand still, always forward, new ground, accomodating and compensating.
