Just wondering how people weather clothes? There are some shirts and stuff from my Sideshow Horrors that I'd like to weather myself. How do you do it? I've heard of people using tea and coffee. Is that effective?

I normally just used watered down paints but I've heard of the weathering sets and pastels. Figured the sets would be expensive so I didn't give them much thought... but seeing the price of them I might have to pick up the A set. Thanks for the link Darth!

FOr my weathering i use several diferent trick.

First i always dip the clothing in a mix of acrylic black painting and water (50/50) to darken the clothes a bit.

I use the drybrush techinque using different shades of brown and grey to simulate the dirt effect.

Pastel work great also for some sand effect.

I often use sandpaper to distress the outfit.

And glossy varnish i used to simulate wet blood.

As well as all the tips mentioned above, yes, tea and coffee can be effective. Unlike some of the other tips e.g. chalk pastels, the effect is permanent tho', so if you can experiment on something similiar first, so much the better. :)
