Dramatic title- I know. :lol

My question is, how much weight is acceptable for the top of a detolf. I have a couple of 1:1 busts that I would like to put on there but I need to know that it won't tip or buckle under the weight. What's your experience? :)

Just to make things clear, I want to put something on the very top( wodden plank), not inside on a shelf.

That would scare me! But I haven't made the trip to IKEA yet so I don't know first hand. I still don't know if I would trust a 1:1 on there though.

I have a 30 pound Jedi Mickey Statue on mine and everything is cool, I had Hulk up there at one point with nothing although mine are bolted to the wall....

Seems like I read somewhere here that more than 15lbs and you are treading dangerous waters.

Hmmm, I am pretty nervous about it. I will have to see how well they are designed tonight. I know some people have put some crazy weight on top of a detolf. Anyone have pictures or stories?:monkey5

make sure you put your most valuable polystone statues directly below. :lol

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl I just have my HT Supes on the top rung of my detolf. I wouldn't put anything that breaks easily on the top. If that snaps, everything below is gone. Put a 1/6 or a Maquette on the top, that's it.

Put your 1:1 on the bottom.

I am going to put either my Thing or Spidey 1:1 on top of mine, I don't think it should be a problem.

As you can see, Matt (aka LotRFan) has plenty of 1:1's and other heavy stuff atop detolfs so it should be fine...

Wow, yes he does! :lol:lol

Ok so as long as there haven't been any accidents in his room from this than I consider my question answered. :lol
