That list of celebrities is hilarious.

Agreed. I'm surprised Bob Gale is buried so far down the list below all those lame-ass guests. Of the five or six must-have guests he's the one they actually got.

The fact that the have some dork who works on "American Dad" as a "celebrity" really seals it though. This thing is lame.

They're also attempting to summon Thomas Wilson via a "Demand It" pop-up at the bottom of the page. This thing is just amateurish across the board.

I get the vibe that the MJF charity thing is simultaneously their attempt at luring him there AND sort of putting the lameness of the whole event above criticism, as in "I know Biff's hot tub girls are some of the biggest names we got but it's FOR CHARITY." Guess what? It ain't working.

edit: oh my God, I just checked out the schedule and this thing is EIGHT DAYS LONG. I get that this thing is fan-organized but they need professionals to reign them in and focus the whole thing into something more manageable.

Okay, I am glad atleast some have now realized that this is organized by the BTTF fans and not by the studios or by some other convention committee.

Yeah there is no MJF or Christopher Lloyd. But artist Drew Struzan, DeLorean Time Machine designer Andrew Probert (who also designed the Enterprise -D for Star Trek:TNG), Kevin Pike who along with his crew built the various Time Machines, Claudia Wells (Jennifer), Dean Cundey (Director of Photography for BTTF, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Jurassic Park, Apollo 13) are hardly what I would have assumed others to refer to as lame-ass guests. Michael Scheffe creator of K.I.T.T and various other future concept cars from BTTF2 will also be in attendance.

The biggest BTTF gathering happened last year at the Hollywood Show. That show had Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson, MJF also made an appearance as he was in the city for his book signings. That show had hundreds of other movie/tv celebrities, which is why they could pull off such big celebrities for BTTF. Of course besides Chris and Lea, lot of the other smaller BTTF celebrities also were in attendance in that event last year. The whole aspect of that event was fans being able to interact with the celebrities for photos and autographs. But for this year's event We're Going Back, there is whole lot more activities planned out throughout the week, with the celebrity interaction happening on the final day at the Gala.

As for the charity, there are hundreds of charity events happenings across US supporting Team Fox, none of them are being held in anticipation of MJF attending their events. Same goes for this event, the organizers of this event have held charity events in the past for Team Fox simply so that they can help and contribute to the cause like most do. If they could get MJF that would be great, but that is not the reason why this entire event is organized with all the proceeds going to Team Fox. Here is a letter from Team Fox regarding the event..

They are also having a free screening of the movie on the opening night. Yes, there are lot more guests who were the behind-the-scenes key crew members from the trilogy, rather than the main cast. But I wonder which other convention setup will give fans the opportunity to learn to hoverboard with the original stunt team. We are glad that Universal is releasing the Blu-rays, but after the closure of The Ride it is pretty evident that the studio is not going to do anything more for the BTTF franchise, in spite of fan demand for more BTTF merchandise among other things. Remember this event has no financial backings from the studio, no corporate sponsorship, no major toy or collectible company tie-ins. Yet they have managed to organize all this so that BTTF fans have a exclusive event for the 25th Anniversary.

Ha..:lol, yeah as many fans have experienced from past events, some of these smaller celebrities are actually great at these events with many unique back stories to share.

This is cool but u need to get Chris Lloyd and LEa Thompson at least, and have Biff do some stand up comedy.

Just read an article about this, I'm still waiting for the hoover board.

Plus a stunt double of George McFly? How bout the real George McFly...Crispin Glover...

Drew Struzan ALONE being there is reason enough for me to go! I really hope to make it to this event! I'm a HUGE fan of Drew's and have collected and enjoyed his works for almost the past 30 years! It would be a life-long dream of mine to meet him in person finally! :wave
