Kind of an oddball question, but I got a lot of SW figures and in them (actually added to the lot, so no harm/foul) were a Vader, Luke, Han (small head) and Chewbacca. They are the vintage molds, but I noticed they looked a little. Upon further inspection I found a 1995 stamp on each one.

I tried searching on the internet (and yes even tried google) and came up empty handed. So, anyone here able to give me the skinny on these?

Thanks :duff

Thanks Brinn... somehow I never heard of these. But could see where collectors would be bothered.

Thanks for the help :duff

I love the look of the vintage figures. It'd be cool if they did recasts like these again so long as they could not be passed off as original figures.

oh yea , i remember those too...........one of the only sets of figures i really wanted from hasbro.

:monkey3............im a liar. i got tons of useless plastic in a closet.......:monkey2

Its interesting because the do look pretty good... but there are some differences. I noticed that Chewbacca was matte whereas my vintage figure is kind of shiny.

Also, having the 1995 stamp is a good tell :lol

yes.....................yes you were mister. i'm not the one who blew 5,000 thinking i would dethrone bill gates one day...........nope, not me...........:lol

Thanks for starting the thread. I had no idea these were even out, had a small-head Han as a kid was looking around for the vintage at a decent price and really didn't feel like chasing them down. Found the 4-pack MIB for $20. Worth the nostalgia and no need to worry about keeping them boxed up. :D

Walmart did the Early Bird reproduction too, except that the figures looked nothing like the vintage ones. I remember these clogging up the clearance aisle after awhile.
