It’s a seriously impressive statue that’s for sure! Not to mention probably insanely expensive and very fragile too! I’d be absolutely terrified of it breaking in transit, or when I clean it!

I think I like this piece more- but in all fairness we haven't seen the post production pieces yet. Hopefully they will look as awesome as the prototype. Or at least close.

I have Smaug the Terrible and it’s an excellent statue. This Smaug is more dynamic in its pose which is cool.
There is also a scale difference on these. The Terrible is 1:72 scale and this statue is 1:100 scale.
So details on Smaug might be a bit different.

Yeah its a tough one - absolutely love this new statue's dynamic pose... but the image of Smaug on his hoard is iconic.
Thankfully this is too much for me to afford, so the decision is out of my hands - but a really stunning piece.

It is awesome. And a great pose. I think i have the room for it. But not sure. So i did not pre-order it yet. Also, being a newbie. With some 1:6 statues coming. Be the first time putting statues together. I am kind of nervous. With smaug. Looks quite fragile. I be much more nervous. Be very worried about broken pieces during shipping too. But that's not stopping me from pre-ordering it. I hope i can.

Okay so January 11th I got a notice this thing was going to ship in the next "week"- but still no shipping yet. I did check into my account and it appears there is an overpayment by 3 cents. I hope that's not what is holding this up. ANyone else get a shipping notice yet?

I'm starting to feel a little nervous about this guy coming in- I think I'll have him in my office at work... but he is so big, and not maybe the most professional, haha... but my wife would freak if I brought him home I think... Also I suppose I'll have to store the packaging somewhere, in case I have to move him or something. I don't think it would be very easy to sell him, so that's out. I hope I REALLY like him!

I'm also starting to worry about the shipping cost... still haven't seen a charge or estimate pop up yet. Today when I was browsing the site and contemplated buying a couple of window decals, the shipping came up as $86! Makes me more than a little fearful of what this monster is going to cost...
