Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

What about orders for people that just ordered 1 head?

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

Does these mean there are no Dragon heads left? I was on the list, but haven't paid yet...was waiting till they were available.

It just means the people who have paid have had their orders shipped. We cast them as ordered. :)

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

But the HT versions are still coming, correct? What about uniforms?

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

yeah, very excited. Hoping to finally see this in my hand next week! Can't wait.

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

Got my Apollo and Starbuck heads today. They look great and the Starbuck looks better in person. Can't wait to start painting.

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

I'm eventually going to have to get a Starbuck.

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

We keep asking for all of our heads to be drilled and Dorgal just sent us the adaptor pics and said that is what he is doing. Until I get home from work to read my E-mails this is where we are at.

OK, I look forward to more info. Those adapters will not work on Dragon bodies.

I had asked for clarification from him before I left to make sure they will work (cause he knows they are for Dragon bodies). :)

And Dorgmal WILL be drilling them out after all. The adaptors were just for the Bishop heads.:1-1:

Soooo, I just got my Apollo and Starbuck heads.
Two years (+) of waiting
Had to settle for a Starbuck sculpt that I didn't want
then...
they arrive and Apollo's neck seems too thin and NEITHER HEAD IS DRILLED!!!!

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

Hey Ironman

Sorry that you are not happy with either sculpt. Me and Rick both feel that Apollo's neck width is entirely accurate and would look disproportionate if any bigger, also we are very proud of our Starbuck and so are sad to hear that you do not like it.

please send them back and we will happily give you a full refund for both (for the postage as well) once we receive them

I will pm you with my postal address

Sean

Hey Ironman

Sorry that you are not happy with either sculpt. Me and Rick both feel that Apollo's neck width is entirely accurate and would look disproportionate if any bigger, also I am a little confused as to why you still went ahead with the Starbuck sculpt if you were not happy with the final sculpt (why not ask for a refund before we sent it out)?!?

I think the Apollo sculpt is a good sculpt, the neck just seems thinner than Starbuck's, which measures exact to a true Dragon neck. I, like Rick, prefer a serious Starbuck as that is how he appears when battling Cylons. I didn't cancel as I wanted to see more BSG from you guys and felt it more important to support the line.
What is most upsetting to me, after the long wait and delays, and then clarifying the issue to be sure, is that the heads were not drilled to fit the bodies. And in that vein, the necks are longer than Dragon necks.

Money back, doesn't put heads on my figures.

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

You are completely right to be upset about the necks - we messed up there, and if you would like to keep the heads please let us get them drilled for you. We can either get them sent back to us here in the UK (yeah, the last thing you want to do is wait more right?) or we could ask around and try to find an alternative closer to where you are based.

We totally understand where you are coming from though, this whole thing has taken a long time, but please understand it is only because we wanted to get it right. I personally started on Starbuck and worked on him for a long time (too long to actually make it profitable) and rather than releasing a piece that we could have sold but were not 100% happy with we got another sculptor to tackle him instead.

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

I recall the whole Starbuck sculpting debate. It takes a big man to have another take over his work. I am still hopeful that a second, properly serious Starbuck might come along.
I would like the heads drilled so that I can use them, but, you're right. I don't really want to wait more and no I don't want to spend a bunch to get it done (and, no offense, don't feel I should have to)so if there is someone closer that would be great. And hopefully turnaround won't be too long.
Thanks!

Re: WGP's Classic Battlestar Galactica thread (Dragon sized SB and Apollo heads ready

Got mine today and they are nice. A couple of air bubbles I need to fill, but my necks were not drilled out either. How many went out drilled/not drilled?
