Re: WGP's Classic Star Trek (wave 2 announced. WGP to make classic costumes)

I vote for either Uhura, Sulu, Scotty or Chekov so we can complete the set of main characters. Once we have all these we can concentrate in variations.

Mr Stmod, your agonizer please.

And..... we need some Trek smilicons!

May a Horta hump your leg while being French kissed by a Mugatu.....in heat.

I've had that happen to me once & it's really not as painful as it sounds.

Re: WGP's Classic Star Trek (wave 2 announced. WGP to make classic costumes)

But it is very messy...PS

Re: WGP's Classic Star Trek (wave 2 announced. WGP to make classic costumes)

In honor of WGP's newest head tease, please no jokes about Richard Gere and Tribbles. :monkey3

Skin texture comes last so that won't show up for a few revisions. :)

Re: WGP's Classic Star Trek (NEW HEAD W.I.P.! WGP to make classic costumes)

Great choice! Already looking like classic Sulu. Hopefully the wild-eyed version is in the works, which could work for both the drunken swashbuckler and the Mirror U scarface version.

In what scale are the headsculpts and do they come painted?

Edit: Ah 1/6 scale, cool.

They do not come painted, but WGP has recently been talking to some painters so they might be available painted when the time comes. :)

That would be awesome because I suck at painting! :(

WGP STAR TREK PLANS

Between just Oct 11' and Jan '12 WGP has sculpted 18 sculpts (with three artists). That's just in the last four months! And now we have just added another sculptor to our rank (Oscar Sick, who is doing Sulu).

So for the next four months, from February on, we plan to meet or exceed that number of heads again. That will be us wrapping up the Trek classic crew for you. That's our time-table. Finishing the classic Trek heads in that time period is our #1 priority. Afterwards we will do another Trek series for you (or a few at the same time if they use the same uniforms we'll need to make). :hi5:

We have taken on doing the classic Trek costumes because of all of the requests we have been getting. We have a new seamstress who is amazing. We are looking into leather boots on them because she can work with leather!

We are looking into painters so we will be able to offer ours painted. We don't advertise doing full figures, but when we offer all the parts we never mind helping out those who need the help by doing that for them.

We are doing the Captains Chair. We are making the Salt Vampire.
We have started doing equipment. We have Rands clip board and the tri-corder in the works. And some dio ideas.

Is a 1:6 navigation station with chairs too big?

We want to be your one stop Classic Trek shop as much as possible.
Then your ST:TNG one-stop shop. And your DS9 one-stop shop, and...

:)

Re: WGP's Classic Star Trek (NEW HEAD W.I.P.! WGP to make classic costumes)

I love what you guys are doing. And I would love to at least see one version of each captain from each show.

HELL. NO!

It's been my fantasy for the past 15 years to have both the captain's chair and helm in 1/6th scale. And if you make the "dias" that Kirk's chair rests on, the captain's chair and helm could actually interlock! I can't even tell you the kind of excitement I'm feeling over this!

You guys are the bomb! Your "potty-one" head came out looking fantastic, btw! My own thought on Trek is this: once you have the core TOS crew, Salt Vampire, and environments done, by all means start on the core crew of TNG (perfect timing, as TNG is being released in hi def on blu ray this year!!!), but also continue to roll out some classic Trek characters interspersed with waves of TNG (characters that come to mind are: Harry Mudd, Romulan Commander (Male and Female), Kang, Kor, Koloth, Sarek, Amanda (maybe?), T'Pring (?), Ruk, Marlena Moreau, Edith Keeler, etc. Would be enough work to keep your seamstress busy for the next decade)Then when the core TNG folks are done, move to DS9 and roll out some TNG supporting characters in between waves. An ongoing rotation to keep everyone happy!

Oh, and if you do Picard's chair, might be cool to offer it as a "stand alone" or with the horseshoe railing and other command chairs for the rabid collector. :wink1:

So you will only make about 40 headsculpts of the classic Star Trek crew? What are my chances of getting my hands on a Bad Ass Kirk sculpt?

Real leather..?

NOOOOOOOO! MAKE IT HAPPEN!
