I recommend them for the food. When I read what smash fries were, I expected something really overpowering. But the way they flavor them was subtle and did add a nice touch to the fries. It is the first time that I have found an alternative for McD's fries that I will actually enjoy.

The ambience is a little too trendy for me. And the prices are a little higher than I prefer. But not so high that I would allow that to stop me from getting take-out from there again.

Well, to directly answer your question...Smash has it all over In-n-Out.


But, Sorry, my friend. You actually are asking the wrong guy. I hate In-n-Out so much that I get mad when I have to drive by one.

And yes, I realize that I am like the only person on Earth that hates In-n-Out.

We had a lunch truck driver who would fill his truck with double doubles at Christmas and give them away for free as a thank-you for our business...and I would not even take them for free.

In n Out is the best budget burger around. Not expensive but damn good for the money. The fries are not that great though, but whatever. I get their strawberry shake instead.
