Just picked up Sacrifice, the 1994 debut of Gary Numan's newer, darkwave sound. I can safely say I love every track on this thing (which isn't the case with the others -- there are always two to four songs that are 'meh'). I think it's because this was really the segue from the radio pop he thought he was obligated to make, so you get his newer, more sophisticated style peppered with the same hooks and melodies that made him famous. Great balance of both worlds. Everything he needed to keep from his past era, nothing he didn't.

That and this song is probably one of the most beautiful things he's done.
