I've really liked them for a few years now, but if this came out when I was in high school, and fiending bands like MBV and Swervedriver, I'd have been obsessed with them. (PSA: this doesn't particularly sound like either of those bands, it just gives me the same feelings, whatever that means).

Yup. The one issue I have with Team Sleep is, and I know this is tantamount to heresy, is I'm picky with Chino's voice. He works well for a lot of the more melodic stuff of the Deftones, but I never loved him for this style.
