I was listening to the new U2 album. I had to check it out after all the 5 star reviews. I didn't think its that great. Alot of the songs are the same, start the same. Slow with alot of open space. Where the hell's the guitar? The 3rd and Last song are really the only ones with a good beat. And maybe 2 slow songs are ok, but it gets repetitious. I dont see any attitude or balls in the album like some of their older stuff.

I think Red Fang are new on the scene and worth a spin if you have the oppurtunity to check em out.

Damn, I haven't heard Clutch in a long time, I seen them a few times a long time ago. They got a good following where I'm at. They get alot of respect. I never heard Red Fang, but I'll check them out.

I've been listening to it for that past week. While I wouldn't give it 5 stars, I still think it's a great album. It sure beats the hell out of a lot of new stuff out there.

I think the problem with bands like U2 that have been around for 30 years is that they're always being compared to their past releases. Take this album on its own, and it's really solid.

Then again, I'm a huge U2 fan, so I'm a little biased.
