Bill Evans didn't get nearly the credit he deserved for his work on that album. Two of my favorite all-time albums are Waltz for Debby and Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Absolute genius.

F yeah, I was lucky enough to see this man play in concert a few months before his death at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View CA with Dr. John and Joe Cocker in 1990. Amazing freaking show!
