Opeth - Windowpane

Damnation is really the only Opeth record I can get into, not fond of the growl vocals on the other records.

Yeah, I actually rank 'Damnation' very high up on my favorite albums of all time. Mikael's voice is awesome when he sings the way he does on this record, he has a great melodic voice. It's too bad they don't do more records like this, but there more recent records I hear do have less growling vocals than the earlier work.

I remember hearing Mikael in an interview awhile ago, saying he would like to release a solo acoustic album(i assume all clean vocals).I can't wait for that, as i am not digging the new Opeth members, with Peter and Martin everything seemed perfect and they all harmonized better then with this new line up.Martin Lopez's drumming is amazing, he even played for Amon Amarth on the Avenger album from years and years ago, shame he left do to stress and anxiety, and Peter well..great rythmn guitarist but, Mikael was writing all the songs and he was not contributing really at all other then playing what Mikael told him to play, shame though these two guys really make a difference and it shows badly now with the new members.

I didn't know that. I will have to check it out. All I know from Goblin is the soundtrack to Suspiria which is total awesomeness.

goblin is pretty cool. they are like an italian tangerine dream not in style but all the soundtracks and stuff.

I was never a fan of Nightwish but, i do love Tarja's vocals..this is pretty cool.

Good luck finding any mainstream group over here that could match this performance, and i am not even a big fan of POTO.

No lip-synching going on here.

Yea Goblin made some great soundtracks, some crazy good bass. I like the Tenebre soundtrack the best.
