All good albums. Yes has had a few clunkers, but I like a lot of their albums.

As much as I like Yes, I am actually a bigger fan of the solo work of Rick Wakeman. A few of my favorites.

I just listened to The Six Wives of Henry VIII for the first time yesterday! Great album. Need to get a hold of his recent live blu-ray where he plays the entire album for the first time.

If you like Six Wives, maybe go for White Rock next. Its also an instrumental album. His most famous album is Journey to the Centre of the Earth, which I pretty much grew up on, as my father was a big fan of the experimental synthesizers of the early 70s.

If you can handle the singing on Journey to the Centre of the Earth, then you might like several of Wakeman's albums as he uses the same singers a few times.

My dad took me to a Yes concert when I was 12 years old and it is still one of my favorite shows I've ever been to.

Wakeman's sons are both keyboard players as well. Here is one of his son's tracks I like a lot.

I'm going to post a few samples of some of my favorite (but not quite mainstream) progressive rock bands. like most prog rock, they take a little work to digest. once you do the payoff is great.

Marillion-An 80s cross between early Genesis and Pink Floyd

Renaissance- These guys are sorta of a Yes type band, but with a really nice female lead singer. Very melodic, symphonic and pretty.

Van der Graff Generator-ok in stark contrast to that this one is a toughy to introduce to new people. But try it. Peel back the harshness to see the beauty.
