I don't hate the prequels, I just dont enjoy them nearly as much as the OT. I'm also kinda OCD like that. If I'm gonna marathon a movie or TV series, I'll still watch the ones that I don't like.
Also this was the first time I had seen them on blu Ray even though I've owned it since the day it came out.

OCD, yeah I understand. I have that with XBOX 360 achievements in that I see what they are & then try to get them in a certain order. It's a bloody nightmare at times. When Ninja Gaiden 2 came out I saw that there was an achievement for continuing the game 100 times so I was determined to beat it on all 4 difficulties including Path of the Master Ninja without continuing 100 times. It involved reloading the last game save often & redoing entire sections over & over. And there's a bit in the game where you have to beat 2 bosses in a row, Genshin followed by Elizebet. Let's just say that I never want to fight Genshin 'ever' again.
I did finally do it & never did get that 100 continues achievement. But it was awful & made something already very hard that much harder.

I finished off Seriously 2.0 on Gears 2 on the last week before 3 came out

I got that achievement too but I don't play online so I just replayed that last level where you ride the Brumak over & over & over...
Me having OCD with regards to something as trivial as achievements saps a lot of the fun out of gaming for me. I wish I could control it. It's a big part of why I'm very selective now about the games I play. Well, that & the fact that I just don't enjoy shoot-em-ups anymore.
I haven't even played one single 2014 game this year, so far. I just played World of Warcraft for the first half of the year before I tired of that again. The whole achievements thing is big in that game too but it's actually never bothered me at all in WoW, which is nice.
I do like the look of Shadow of Mordor though & I think I'll ask my sister to get me that for Christmas.
