Red Cliff part 2, finally got around to watch. Very nicely done - a modern dramatized take on romance of the three kingdoms, nonetheless enjoyed it.

So this is a fairly long story, but it's great and I have to tell it...

As a member of press, a number of my co-workers (reporters) and I used to go to SDCC for work. It was SDCC 2007 and we were at an exclusive party at a plush hotel in downtown San Diego - we got in as one of the hosts advertised with our company and we hung out with some of the ad guys, who got us VIP badges...so we were drinking it up, having a blast, living the life...and in walks Thomas Jane along with - who woulda thunk it - Paul Reubens. It was the freakin' Punisher and Pee Wee together at a party and the beer was flowing like wine...

The duo had been hitting all the parties and were already three sheets to the wind (Reubens was obviously the less impaired of the team). My buddy and fellow reporter CJ, who was drunk as a skunk by this time, walks right up to Jane, who's holding a highball from a party he'd been at before, and simply yells out "DEEP BLUE SEA MUTHA F--KER!" right at Jane! :horror

The folks around us sort of got quiet and Jane just cracks a big old grin and says "I was in that movie!" and busts up laughing!! :rotfl Thus began the night my co-workers and I got drunk and told stories with The Punisher and Pee Wee Herman.

We also ran into Bruce Campbell that night too - he was cool as heck...but no one will ever be as cool as Jane was. He was literally hilarious...and we ended up hitting two other parties with him (he got into all the right joints). Best part was we ran into him the next morning right where we'd left him (in a local bar near our hotel down by the convention center) wearing the same shirt and shorts from the night before...and no shoes! :dunno
