American version but i can't wait for the UK one tonight. :rock

Yeah I'm going to be watching it tonight also. On every night this week as well, only noticed that by chance other wise it would have been bloody annoying missing other episodes :lol

I hope it gets a bit more humour in it. Because the last couple of series have been pretty damn heavy on the drama with storylines such as Paddy and heroin among others.

This season is quite a long one as well with 22 episodes. Especially in comparison to the first season which only had 8!

Was the U.S. version any good? Watched a trailer for it last night and the feel I got from the trailer was more of a bad spoof. That and they also gave away practically everything that happened in the first season such as how Lip finds out about Ian and his choice of foot wear :lol

I've loved the last few seasons and that Paddy story was great! I loved the Jamie, Karen & Joe story the best though. I wanted Jamie to kill that cocky bastard so much. :lol

Oh yeah I'm not saying they weren't great story lines. But there was a shift in the feel of the show. Especially when watching earlier episodes, while it is primarily a drama, there was a nice dose of dark humour.

Joe was a real twat. I'm suprised thinking about it that Channel 4 haven't been repeating the last season (unless I haven't noticed) because they usually do stuff like that to get people more interested for the upcoming season.

I wonder whether this will be the last season because I don't know how many more members of the original cast can leave before it's only Frank and his latest spawn from his latest spouse :lol

No i fully agree with you there and hopefully they'll get some of that back this season. :lecture

I'm thinking this might be the last season as well and i really miss some of the cast that left, but if it is the last season then it's had a great run and it's some of the best tv the uk has had imho. :)

Yeah it is a damn good show. I wouldn't be suprised if this was the last season based on it being a much longer season than past ones. I think most of the others have been 16 episodes at most.

The more I think about it the more I'm looking forward to this weeks viewing!

It's also quite odd when you watch earlier episodes and it's got James McAvoy who has since gone on to Hollywood success.

Mrs Doyle sure looks different though! That was a shock to the system, after many hours of watching Father Ted and her "Go on, go on, go on..." to being Frank's latest interest

I didn't even know it was her. :horror
